Theatre Horizon is kicking off 2015 with a re-imagining of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's classic Into The Woods. The show runs February 5-March 1, 2015. Opening Night is February 12 at 7:30 p.m. The theatre has assembled a cast of local all-stars to tell this timeless tale about the sacrifices we make to see our dreams come true. Dickey's Barbecue chairman, Roland Dickey will visit California to celebrate the opening of the brand's newest location in Laguna Niguel. The new fast casual barbecue option opens on Thursday, January 15 with a three-day grand opening. The Old Globe invites your participation and coverage as it begins presenting shows through an exciting new producing platform, Globe for All. This free-of-charge tour of a professional production of Shakespeare will allow the theatre to serve more communities throughout San Diego by collaborating with a diverse range of local organizations. Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein directs the first production, Shakespeare's fascinating romance All's Well That Ends Well. He has cast local professional actors, including recent graduates of the Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program. Theatre Horizon begins its 10th Anniversary season by taking audiences into South Africa during Apartheid with Pamela Gien's renowned memory play, The Syringa Tree. This lovely work is set to run October 16-November 9. It opens Thursday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m. All shows are performed at Theatre Horizon's home space at 401 Dekalb Street. Tickets cost $20-$38.
