BET Networks announced its first ever Fandemonium Award measuring the online and mobile fan power of today's top music artists. This award will debut at this year's BET AWARDS '10 on Sunday, June 27, 2010. Through a two-week promotion on 106 & PARK, followers of Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Trey Songz will undertake daily challenges to compete for their artist to win the award by partnering with the popular social aggregator, AOL Lifestream.

BET Networks, a unit of Viacom ( VIA, VIA.B), today announced that entertainment superstar Queen Latifah has been tapped to host the tenth anniversary of the mega-hit, #1 rated awards show among African American viewers, the BET AWARDS. This much-anticipated special will broadcast LIVE from the historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 8:00 P.M.* on BET and via live stream on BET.com.

During its annual Upfront presentation to the advertising community, BET Networks will reveal its new consumer research, new programming strategy including scripted programs and original movies, and the reinvigorated direction for the company at New York City's Nokia Theatre. Touting the Network's unique understanding of black consumers through its 'African Americans Revealed' study, BET will reinforce its position as the world's #1 provider of black content with unprecedented reach to all types of African American consumers across all demographics and genres.

Emmy Award winning talk show host and author Dick Cavett will moderate an ?intimate conversation? between Academy Award-winning actress Estelle Parsons and recent Princess Grace Award-winning artist, Toccarra Cash (Theater, 2007) at a cocktail reception to benefit The Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA). The discussion will explore the path to a successful career in the arts. Estelle Parsons is currently starring in the Tony Award-winning play August: Osage County on Broadway in the role of Violet Weston, directed by Tony Award winner Anna Shapiro, also a Princess Grace Award winner (1996, Theater/Directing). PGF-USA is a public charity that supports emerging artists in theater, dance and film through scholarships, apprenticeships and fellowships.

Award-winning author/director Jackie Alexander's 'BIRTHRIGHT' takes place one year after Katrina in Slidell, Louisiana, fifteen miles northeast of New Orleans. 'BIRTHRIGHT' will have its World Premiere at the Billie Holiday Theatre ( 1368 Fulton Street, Brooklyn) on Friday, May 16th where it will run through Sunday, June 29th.
