Acclaimed actress Gabrielle Union hosts the show for a fourth year, honoring renowned poet/author Maya Angelou (Literary Arts), internationally acclaimed musician Stevie Wonder (Musical Arts), Grammy-Award winning songstress Mariah Carey (Entertainer), influential filmmaker Spike Lee (Media), the heroic Tuskegee Airmen (Service) and inspirational coach and mentor Beverly Kearney (Education).

Hosted by talented actress Gabrielle Union at the historic Warner Theater in Washington, D.C., BET HONORS celebrates the lifetime contributions and exceptional service of certain individuals to African-American culture in music, literature, entertainment, media, service and education. The star-studded, unforgettable special will premiere during 1st quarter 2012 on BET.

On Saturday, October 15, 2011, 'BLACK GIRLS ROCK!TM 2011' celebrated its second year of honoring Black women in business, politics, entertainment, sports and community service on BET Networks.

Once again BET Networks joins forces with Beverly Bond, founder and CEO BLACK GIRLS ROCK!TM for the second annual televised 'BLACK GIRLS ROCK!TM 2011' special.

Supermodel Alek Wek, reality star La La Anthony, and actresses Tichina Arnold and Sharon Leal will join previously announced co-hosts, Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King, as presenters for the second annual televised 'BLACK GIRLS ROCK!(TM) 2011' special.

'Black Girls Rock!(TM) 2011' is back with two talented co-hosts, Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King.

Once again BET Networks joins forces with Beverly Bond, founder and CEO BLACK GIRLS ROCK!TM for the second annual televised 'BLACK GIRLS ROCK!TM 2011' special.

In honor of being selected for mainstage performance at the National Black Theatre Festival, the Billie Holiday Theatre will present encore performances of The Legend of Buster Neal, written and directed by Jackie Alexander.

At this annual solstice ritual, the Paul Winter Consort celebrates the first sunrise of summer within the vast acoustics of the world's largest cathedral, New York's Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Beginning in complete darkness, musicians surrounding the audience play continuously for two hours as the cathedral's stained-glass windows gradually illuminate to usher in the longest day of the year.

Broadway veteran Patti LaBelle will receive BET's Lifetime Achievement Award at the June 26 ceremony. Additionally, Steve Harvey will be honored with the Humanitarian Award for his philanthropic work.
