New York Stage and Film and Vassar College's Powerhouse Theater present Stephen Belber's The Power of Duff, directed by Peter DuBois and starring Greg Kinnear (Little Miss Sunshine, As Good As It Gets). The ensemble cast also features Desmin Borges (The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity), Dominic Fumusa (Fault Lines, Passion Play, 'Nurse Jackie'), Neal Huff (Take Me Out, 'The Wire'), Russell G. Jones (Ruined, Traffic), Ilana Levine (Jake's Women, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, The Last Night of Ballyhoo), Ben Platt (Caroline, or Change, Pitch Perfect), and Jennifer Westfeldt (Friends with Kids, Kissing Jessica Stein, Wonderful Town). Charles Duff, a news anchor in a mid-market backwater, has an unexpected spiritual awakening on live TV. His prayers, and their answers, change his audience, his family, and his own life forever. Stephen Belber (Tape, Match, Dusk Rings a Bell, Fault Lines) returns to the Powerhouse alongside Peter DuBois (Sons of the Prophet, Becky Shaw, Jack Goes Boating, All New People). The cast includes Desmin Borges, Dominic Fumusa, Neal Huff, Russell G. Jones, Greg Kinnear, Ilana Levine, Ben Platt, and Jennifer Westfeldt.

Identity Productions’ TAPE Adds Two Final Performances

Identity Productions has announced that it will extend its production of Stephen Belber's TAPE for two final performances as part of the Best of the Hollywood Fringe at the Theatre Asylum mainstage. These last two shows will run on Thursday, July 19th and Thursday, July 26th at 8pm.

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) today announced that Jon Bernthal (AMC's "The Walking Dead") and actor/playwright John Pollono will star in the New York Premiere of Small Engine Repair, by John Pollono, directed by Jo Bonney (Neil LaBute's The Break of Noon, Some Girl(s), Fat Pig). The production will be the third and final production of MCC's 2012-13 three-play mainstage season, which marks the company's 27th consecutive year producing and developing new work by today's most provocative and vibrant artists. Small Engine Repair will be performed at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) May 16 - June 23, 2013.
