CHATTER: Chris Rock to Make Broadway Debut in 'Hat'

Michael Riedel reports in today's New York Post that Chris Rock is set to make his Broadway debut, opposite Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabela Sciorra and Yul Vazquez. The play, but Stephen Adly Guirgis is called 'The Motherf***er With the Hat' aka 'Hat'.

The Last Days of Judas Iscariot by Stephen Adly Guirgis marks the inaugural collaboration of Urban Theatre Movement and Company of Angels. On Sunday, October 17 at 2:30 p.m., the Epic Theatre Ensemble will present a staged reading of a new version of Ari Roth's acclaimed Born Guilty Cycle at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust. Blanka Zizka will direct the monumental three and one-half hour reading which will feature Rick Foucheux. Following the performance, Roth, Peter Sichrovsky, and other special guests will take part in a Q&A.

He also reports that Linda Emond is said to be the top choice to play Loman's wife, Linda in the production which is aiming for 2011.

Although the characters weren't written to the top of their intelligence, they were each allowed to have moments of incredible personal discovery.
