Stephen McKinley Henderson Makes Special Appearances at Albright-Knox Auditorium, 4/30 & 5/14

Buffalo native, Broadway actor and film star Stephen McKinley Henderson will be the guest of honor at a Saturday, April 30, 2011 special event hosted by Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP). The April 30th event, An Evening with Stephen McKinley Henderson, will feature an intimate look into Henderson's life and work. Henderson also will attend the RLTP Annual Spring Gala on Saturday, May 14, 2011.

The eight member cast features Elizabeth Canavan as Renee, Stephen Ellis as Benjy, Lisa Joyce as Cassie, Megan Mostyn-Brown as Angela, Alfredo Narciso as Gary, Deirdre O'Connell as Gwen, Aaron Roman Weiner as Henry, and David Zayas as Mark.

Rep Stage, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), continues its 18th season with Heather McDonald's 'An Almost Holy Picture,' directed by Tony Tsendeas and featuring Michael Stebbins, Rep Stage's producing artistic director. Freely drawn from Pamela Ward's story 'The Hairy Little Girl,' 'An Almost Holy Picture' follows the odyssey of former minister Samuel Gentle as he travels from Massachusetts to New Mexico - and from despair to triumph - heeding a mysterious voice. 'An Almost Holy Picture' opens February 2 and runs through February 20, 2011 in the Studio Theatre of the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center (HVPA) on the HCC campus. Directed by Anna D. Shapiro, the production will open on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street, New York City). Today, a spokesperson for the production has announced that The strictly limited 14-week engagement will begin previews on March 15, 2010 one week earlier than originally announced date of March 22. Opening night remains scheduled for April 11, 2010.
