The Entity In Association with Christina Tyler will present 'The Tragedy of Tupac Amaru Shakur' or 'Who Shot Me?' for two performances, Tuesday, September 13th at The Triad Theatre, 158 West 72nd Street. This commemorative performance on the 15-year anniversary of the deceased rapper's passing is written principally by George Carroll with Christina Tyler, (who also serves as Executive Producer) and directed by Valerie Donaldson.

The Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Awards, founded by Russ Ivey, originated in October of 2004 with the intention of recognizing those hardworking individuals that put their time and effort into Community and Non-Union Professional Theater. There are many aspiring actors that would like to be given recognition for their skills and dedication to the performing arts. Many of those are of the desire to build their resume so that they will be given more audition opportunities. Secondly, many theaters have a hard time marketing themselves so they can draw not only an audience, but a lot of the talent to their shows. This is where the MAT Awards come in. The 'MAT' is one of thirty one different categories that are presented on an annual basis. Each year, an Award Ceremony is held to present those awards to the individuals/theaters that have put the time and effort into making their productions great. Those categories are the following:

Roundabout Theatre Company is presenting the world premiere of the new musical Death Takes a Holiday, directed by Tony® winner Doug Hughes (Doubt), adapted by Tony®-winning writers Peter Stone (1776) and Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray), and composed by Tony® winner Maury Yeston (Nine, Titanic). Death Takes a Holiday is based on the dramatic play by Alberto Casella, rewritten for the American stage by Walter Ferris, and originally produced by Messrs. Shubert.

Green Room Awards Winners Announced: MARY POPPINS, YANA ALANA Lead

The Green Room Awards took place at The Famous Spiegeltent in Melbourne last night, and global favorite MARY POPPINS led the night with a total of nine awards out of its twelve nominations. Yana Alana and the Paranas in Concert, a cabaret production, was a close second for total awards with six out of eight cabaret awards.

So, please join us on Saturday, March 12th, for "118 Miles Off Broadway" - an evening of classic showtunes, food & wine, raffle prizes and the area's best "grown-up" talent - all to benefit the Newington Children's Theatre Company, a non-profit organization. Featuring some of CT's best-known adult performers (and a few kids, too!), this fantastic event will be hosted by TV & Radio personality Jim Masters, of CPTV and WELI. We are also proud to announce our very special guests: Carolyn Kirsch, original cast member of Broadway's "A Chorus Line," and Michael Buckley, of "What the Buck?" and "Buck Hollywood."
