Alan Cumming, a Olivier and Tony award winning actor has returned to the West End after 15 years. He opened his one man show, I Bought A Blue Car Today at the Vaudeville theatre on Tuesday night to a standing ovation. Playing until September 6, Cumming belts out popular hits alongside little-known gems, accompanied by musical director Lance Horne. Tonight, he's taking part in a celebration of the career of Lance Horne. Notes Unleashed! runs immediately after Cumming's show at the Vaudeville. It will feature a selection of the composers greatest hits as well as world premiéres of his latest material performed by an array of West End stars. The line up includes Aneurin Barnard, Hannah Waddingham and Alexandra Silber amongst others. And if that's not enough for you, be sure to read Carrie Dunn's interview with him.

Broadway legend and Tony award winner Donna McKechnie is to bring her one-woman show My Musical Comedy Life (Part Two) to London. It will play at Pizza on the Park, located at Hyde Park Corner from October 14 through to October 24.

The Laramie Project will have its English premiere in over 100 theatres on October 12. Since 2000 the play has been one of the most performed in America. The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later includes a compelling and groundbreaking epilogue to the original piece, which focuses on long-term effects of a murder in the town. Alongside the production will be an interactive online community for fans to get involved in.

A spare and tender adaptation of Websters classic play The Duchess of Malfi, by new playwright Bryony Marcwick opens this week at the King's Head Theatre and will continue through to September 26.

The Jericho House present Katrina, a promenade production made up of accounts from both survivors of the 2005 hurricane and those responsible for the failed efforts during the aftermath. It runs at the Bargehouse at Oxo Tower Wharf from September 1 to September 26 with a cast including Andrea Harris, Andrew Dennis and Stephanie Langton.

Following a run of The Tobacco Merchant's Lawyer, Iain Heggie brings Wide Sleep to the Finborough Theatre for a limited run. The one man show wirtten and performed by Heggie will play for just six performances on October 4 and 5.

The Finborough Theatre is also to host Vibrant! a ten-day festival featuring the works of ten UK and international, so far undiscovered playwrights. It will take place between October 6 and October 17.
