Towne Street Theatre announces the line up for its 4th Annual Ten Minute Play Festival slated for February, 2011 at the Stella Adler Theater in Hollywood.

Gotham Arts Exchange presents the Emerging Artist Showcase, a shared evening of dance works by emerging choreographers John-Mark Owen, Jessica Gaynor and Adam Barruch (with guest performer Margie Gillis) on Wednesday, January 5 and Thursday, January 6 at 7:30pm at Dance Theater Workshop, 219 West 19th Street, NYC.

In response to popular demand, The Blank Theatre Company has announced the return of Nicholas Brendon in 'The Santaland Diaries' by David Sedaris. Once again directed by Michael Matthews, 'Santaland' begins preview performances on Friday, November 19, and opening night is set for Saturday, November 27 at 8:00 at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood. Last year's entire engagement of this show at The Blank's 2nd Stage Theatre sold out before performances began.

Actress/singer par excellence Leslie Uggams brings her acclaimed one-woman show Uptown Downtown to the Pasadena Playhouse opening November 19. In stories and song, Uggams recreates her extraordinary journey from uptown to downtown. From Mitch Miller to Roots. From the Apollo Theater to Broadway. Featuring direction by Stormy Weather's (2009) Michael Bush and musical direction by Don Rebic, the show played earlier this year at New York City's Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The Collectin, a theater and film company of 35 college-age actors, directors, writers, and artists will be performing the piece on December 9th-December 11th at Center Stage in New York City.

The New School for Drama presents the second annual New Visions Drama Directing Festival, featuring three full-length plays spanning eras and styles, performed in repertory. The first Golden Globe winner of 2011 has been announced, and it's none other than film legend Robert De Niro, according to E!Online. The 67 year old actor won a Best Actor Golden Globe for Raging Bull and has been nominated seven times in the same category since then. But this time, De Niro will be honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for 'outstanding contribution to the entertainment field.'

The Stella Adler Studio of Acting announced today that Tony® Award Winner Mark Rylance will perform a special benefit show, "OFF THE GRID IN MANHATTAN," on Monday, November 8th, 2010 at 7:00pm.

WAITING FOR THE DREAM ('En Attendant le Songe') -- an adaptation of William Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM - will be performed by La Compagnie Irina Brook for a limited engagement November 3 to 7 at La MaMa ETC (74A E. 4 St.) in Manhattan. WAITING FOR THE DREAM is performed in French and English with subtitles.

Actress Salome Jens is an actor's actor. She considers acting a pure art form and is ever respectful of every single role she plays. From films like Angel Baby to Mae Olinski in TV's Mary Hartman Mary Hartman to her one-woman play About Anne, her work is passionate, thoughtful and evocative. She will be performing About Anne @ Group rep in NoHo November 19 and 20 as a benefit for the theatre.
