Kennedy Center RAGTIME Announces 1 Week Extension

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced a one week extension for its production of RAGTIME. The musical will now run in the Eisenhower Theater April 18 through May 17, 2009. Based on a 1975 novel by E.L. Doctorow, the production features book by Terrence McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and will be directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge. The musical is part of the Kennedy Center?s Broadway: The Third Generation, a series celebrating the current generation of Broadway musical composers. The official press night will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.

Berkshire Theatre Festival's 2009 casting consists of some old favorites and some new faces. Randy Harrison will return to star in 'Ghosts', and David Adkins, Colin Lane and Keira Naughton will appear in 'Faith Healer'. 'The Einstein Project' cast will consist of Tommy Schrider and James Barry, while 'Sick' will feature Greg Keller. Stephen DeRosa, David Garrison and more will also make an appearance this season.

NY-Moving Theater will present five performances of its show LAST DANCE at Park Avenue Armory on Manhattan's Upper East Side from January 7 through January 12, 2009. LAST DANCE is a new performance work choreographed and directed by Brennan Gerard & Ryan Kelly, and will be performed by and created in collaboration with Emilio Martinez Lopez, Marion Ramirez, and Anthony Whitehurst, with special musical guests Jason Abrams and Rupert Boyd.
