Ben Rimalower Celebrates Audible.com Release of PATTI ISSUES with Show at The Green Room 42

Ben Rimalower will celebrate the recent release of his plays PATTI ISSUES and BAD WITH MONEY by Roven Records on Audible.com with a special performance of PATTI ISSUES at The Green Room 42 on Sunday, January 28. In Patti Issues, Rimalower explores the ways his lifelong obsession (and eventual working friendship) with Patti LuPone helped him navigate a tumultuous relationship with his volatile father. Since premiering in 2012, Patti Issues has garnered a tremendous amount of great press and word-of-mouth from attendees such as Tony Kushner, Alan Cumming, Laurie Metcalf and Ms. LuPone herself, who said, The show's fantastic. It's really wonderful. I was moved. Patti Issues is directed by Aaron Mark (Empanada Loca with Daphne Rubin-Vega, Squeamish With Alison Fraser).

THIS RANDOM WORLD Comes to Circle Theatre

Steven Dietz's heartwarming comedy, This Random World, kicks off the season. Each character's journey overlaps one another, be it an ailing woman who plans one final trip, a daughter planning one great escape or a son falling prey to a prank gone wrong. This funny and intimate play explores the lives that may be happening just out of reach of our own. Does serendipity bring us together or is that only a myth?

Rock 'n' Roll Icons to Take CAA Theatre Stage in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET This Winter

On December 4, 1956, four young rock 'n' roll icons, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins gathered at Sun Records in Memphis for the first and only time for what would be one of the greatest impromptu jam sessions ever recorded in music history. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is inspired by that famed recording session. Drayton Entertainment brings their popular production of the world-wide smash-hit musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET as the inaugural show to Toronto's newly named CAA THEATRE (formerly the Panasonic Theatre) for a limited engagement, December 12, 2017 - January 7, 2018.

North Texas Theatres Convene Artists Town Hall with Laura T. Fisher

In an effort to do better, and in response to the recent thoughtful discussion that has taken place specifically regarding inappropriate conduct in the North Texas theatre community, Theatre Communications Group (TCG) Member Theatres of North Texas have worked together to convene an Artist Town Hall about developing a theatre code of standards. The Town Hall will be moderated by TheaterJones Editor Mark Lowry, with Laura T. Fisher, Coordinator of Chicago Theatre Standards leading the discussion.

Rachel Lampert Honored for Lifetime Achievement at the 2017 SALT Awards

Kitchen Theatre Company is thrilled to announce that Artistic Director Emerita Rachel Lampert was honored with the Syracuse Area Live Theater (SALT) Lifetime Achievement Award at 2017 Ceremony, held November 5th at Syracuse Stage. The SALT Award program recognizes exemplary and outstanding performances in Professional and Non-Professional theater in Central New York.
