FUNNY GIRL's Gabi Epstein Performs Streisand's Greatest Hits In GABS SINGS BABS At Segal Centre

FUNNY GIRL's Gabi Epstein Performs Streisand's Greatest Hits In GABS SINGS BABS At Segal CentreThe Segal Centre is proud to welcome back the delightful, talented and beloved Gabi Epstein for one night only on Tuesday, February 27, at 8 p.m. to perform her critically acclaimed cabaret Gabs Sings Babs: Gabi Epstein sings the songs of Barbra Streisand, as part of the Power Music Series.

While Montreal audiences may remember her from her star-turn as Fanny Brice in the Segal Centre's production of Funny Girl and in the world premiere of Prom Queen: The Musical, Gabi is one of Canada's leading stage and cabaret performers. Her infectious "Gabarets" have been performed all over North America including Toronto's acclaimed Jazz Bistro and New York City's legendary Don't Tell Mama where the Times Square Chronicles named her show "Top Cabaret" of the year. Accompanied by Mark Camilleri, Gabs Sings Babs reinterprets Streisand's iconic music with original arrangements and heartfelt stories.

Gabi was the standby for the role of Girl in the Mirvish production of Once which garnered her and her cast a DORA award for Best Ensemble. She also received a DORA nomination (Outstanding Performance) for her role in To Life with the Harold Green Jewish Theatre. Gabi's extensive credits also include Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (Rainbow Stage), Killer Queen in We Will Rock You (Magnus), and Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof (Stage West). Her debut CD Show Off was released in 2010 and is available on iTunes and Spotify.
