Whitney White's DEFINITION: AN INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE to be Presented in June

This socially distant installation experience is inspired by DEFINITION, an upcoming musical that takes a surrealist look at an African American woman's inner awakenings. Created by director and musician Whitney White, this multi-media event will take the audience through a guided journey with pre-recorded text and music. 

Ars Nova Announces Vision Residency Programming From Jenny Koons

Ars Nova has announced its sixth slate of 2021 programming including four events curated by Jenny Koons as part the new Ars Nova Vision Residency program. The Drama League has just announced the 2021 Nominees and Special Recognition Honorees for The 87th Annual Drama League Awards. BWW Review: Claustrophobic angst in the outstanding FRANZ KAFKA'S LETTER TO MY FATHER at M-34

At some point during the outstanding live stream performance of Franz Kafka's Letter To My Father, yet another reference began swirling in my mind.  Lyrics from an old song from the late 1970's band Split Enz bizarrely came into focus.  'History never repeats / I tell myself before I go to sleep / There's a light shining in the dark / Leading me on towards a change of heart, ah.'  Both that song and Kafka's writing explore an anguished mental condition as a result of bitter relationships.
