St. Ann’s Warehouse, capping a year in which they have activated their flexible Brooklyn waterfront theater by bringing art outdoors, will finally welcome artists and audiences back inside with two socially distanced concert presentations by The Bengsons, produced in partnership with longtime St. Ann’s collaborator piece by piece productions. 

Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin is currently working on developing Game of Thrones as a stage play for Broadway, the West End and Australia. Martin is writing the play alongside Duncan MacMillan, and it is set to be directed by Dominic Cooke. The first show is expected to launch in 2023.

This spring, NYPopsUp, a roaming performance series geared toward revitalizing the city's arts and culture sector, will present a touring series of dance-oriented performances in Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.

BAM’s Board of Trustees has appointed a team of internal executives—Jennifer Anglade (CFO and Vice President of Finance, and Treasurer of BAM Endowment Trust), Coco Killingsworth (Vice President, Creative Social Impact, and Interim Head, Virtual Programming), and Elizabeth Moreau (Associate Vice President and Senior Producer).

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced today the long-awaited return of live indoor performance across New York State will commence April 2, 2021 with the reopening of a significant number of Flexible Venues (“Flex Venues”) as part of an ongoing systematic effort to help jumpstart New York’s struggling live entertainment sector.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a virtual Script in Hand playreading of “A Sherlock Carol,” a new, mystery mashup featuring familiar characters from the literature of Arthur Conan Doyle and Charles Dickens.

Eighth Blackbird will continue their Winter 2021 Chicago Artists Workshop (CAW) live streamed event series with puppeteer Tom Lee: “The Great Zodiac Animal Race” 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26. Tickets are $20 (suggested) per household.

St. Ann’s Warehouse will present Julian Alexander & Khadijat Oseni’s Supremacy Project, a public art project addressing the systemic oppression and violence BIPOC communities are fighting to end through art.

Directed by Paul Lazar, “Elephant Room: Dust from the Stars” will be free to Center Theatre Group subscribers.

But it isn’t nostalgia for the past that drives us forward. It's the longing to be back together. We will be back!' 

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS has announced that the Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 original cast recording of In the Green will be released on CD online and in stores on Friday, January 15. In addition, McLean will perform selections from In the Green in a special virtual concert via Rockwood Music Hall on Monday, December 14 at 8:00 PM Eastern.
