Africa Utopia Returning to Southbank Centre

Africa Utopia returns for a fourth time to Southbank Centre to explore what can be learnt and celebrated from modern Africa and the African diaspora. The festival investigates the arts and culture of one of the world's most dynamic and fast-changing continents and looks at how Africa can lead the way in thinking about society, community, technology, fashion, gender, faith and activism.

London Premiere of CUT Begins Tonight at The Vaults

Set against a black backdrop with unsettling moments of complete darkness, a small audience is sealed in an atmospheric Vault under the Waterloo railway arches. Winner of the Best Theatre award at Adelaide Fringe 2015, and the Underbelly Adelaide Award 2015, this is the London premiere of CUT - an edge-of-your-seat thriller, written by award-winning Australian playwright Duncan Graham and performed by Hannah Norris.

Artistic Director of the Gate Theatre Christopher Haydon today announces the full cast for the world premiere DIARY OF A MADMAN. Haydon directs Deborah Arnott (Mavra Sheeran), Liam Brennan (Pop Sheeran), Lois Chimimba (Mel McCloud), Guy Clark (Matthew White) and Louise McMenemy (Sophie Sheeran). Following the success of the Gate Theatre's recent Fringe First winning The Christians and Grounded, Diary of a Madman marks the Gate Theatre's third visit to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Full cast is today announced for the world premiere of new musical A Pacifist's Guide to the War on Cancer with book by Bryony Kimmings and Brian Lobel, music by Tom Parkinson and lyrics by Bryony Kimmings.  Francesca Mills, Max Runham and Lottie Vallis complete the company and join the previously announced Naana Agyei-Ampadu, Amy Booth-Steel, Hal Fowler, Amanda Hadingue, Akiya Henry, Golda Rosheuvel, Rose Shalloo, Gareth Snook and Gary Wood.

KLANGHAUS to Play Royal Festival Hall

Welcome to KlangHaus a maverick collision between noise, concealed sound and visual imagery. In the unsung roof space above the Royal Festival Hall, and, weather permitting, on the roof itself, experimental art-rock collective The Neutrinos and visual artist Sal Pittman assemble a site-specific montage of light, sound and space in which sky, river, wave and cloud collide.

The Roundhouse Presents CURTAIN CALL: LIVE PERFORMANCES, Aug. 6

This August, Bloomberg Summer at the Roundhouse, the annual season dedicated to introducing new audiences to innovative culture, returns for its fifth consecutive year with Curtain Call by internationally renowned artist, architect and designer Ron Arad.  Ron Arad's 360° floor-to-ceiling installation is made up of 5,600 silicon rods suspended and filling the Roundhouse's iconic main space. Alongside the installation the Roundhouse has announced seven unique music events, designed by an eclectic mix of artists to take place as one-off performances in and around the installation.   

Good Chance Arrives at Southbank Centre from Calais 'Jungle' Camp

From Saturday 30 July to Sunday 7 August, Good Chance will find a London home on Festival Terrace at Southbank Centre's annual Festival of Love. Entitled ENCAMPMENT, the project will unite artists from the UK, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Cameroon and Guinea. Across nine days and nights, a sweeping programme of performances and events will take place inside the iconic Good Chance Dome, direct from the Calais 'Jungle' refugee camp.

The Apollo Theater today announced details of its 2016-2017 season, which will feature an array of programs showcasing both established and emerging artists and deepen parterships with a diverse array of institutions. Scott Alan Appointed Artistic Director In Residence for Live At Zedel

Live At Ze?del, Brasserie Ze?del's new music and entertainment concept, has released details of its exciting Autumn season. Launching in September 2016, the new programme will kick off with an official partnership with The Philharmonia Orchestra and the appointment of Scott Alan, as Artistic Director In Residence. Scott is an internationally acclaimed songwriter who has worked with some of the brightest stars of theatre, TV, film and recording. His varied programme includes the intimate pre-show 'coq-tails and Conversations' from likes of Mark Shenton, editor of The Stage alongside nights from West End Stars Julie Atherton and Simon Lipkin as well as performances from the likes of Carly Stenson, Oliver Tompsett and Lucie Jones.

Casting has been confirmed for the world premiere of a new version of Maxim Gorky's Vassa Zheleznova, coming to Southwark Playhouse. The production will run Wednesday 15 June - Saturday 9 July 2016, with an official opening scheduled for Friday, 17 June 2016 at 8pm.
