Eleanor Lang Named Cheek By Jowl's New Executive Director

Cheek by Jowl today announces that Eleanor Lang has been appointed the Company's new Executive Director - she takes up the role in January 2016.   Lang, now the Executive Director of Free Word, has spent ten years working for a number of arts organisations including the Donmar Warehouse, Y Touring Theatre Company, BAC and the Bush Theatre, as well as working as a freelance producer. Most recently, she has worked with Rose Fenton, running Free Word, the UK's only centre for literature, literacy and freedom of expression. She is on the board of Rose Bruford College and Tonic Theatre.

Cast Set for Young Jean Lee's STRAIGHT WHITE MEN at Kirk Douglas Theatre This Winter

Young Jean Lee's STRAIGHT WHITE MEN will have its West Coast premiere November 20 - December 20, 2015, at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre, directed by Lee and presented in collaboration with the Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA. The first U.S. performances of the play since The Public Theater presented its New York premiere last fall will feature a cast of Frank Boyd, Richard Riehle, Brian Slaten and Gary Wilmes.

Alex Gwyther's 'OUR FRIENDS THE ENEMY' Travels from the UK to Theatre Row This Winter

After an acclaimed run in London, the Edinburgh Fringe and two triumphant UK tours, OUR FRIENDS THE ENEMY, written by and starring Alex Gwyther with direction by Tom O'Brien, arrives in New York City to celebrate the holiday's for a strictly limited two week engagement at Theater Row's Lion Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). Performances run December 8th through December 20th, 2015. 

Full Cast Announced for Tom Holloway's FORGET ME NOT at Bush Theatre

The cast for the UK premiere production of FORGET ME NOT by Tom Holloway is announced today! The complete cast is Eleanor Bron, Russell Floyd, Sarah Ridgeway and Sargon Yelda. The production, directed by HighTide Festival Theatre's Artistic Director Steven Atkinson, previews from 08 December (press night 11 December) and runs through 16 January 2016 in a co-production between the Bush Theatre and HighTide Festival Theatre.

New York Philharmonic Sets 2015-16 Season of New-Music Series CONTACT!

WHITE Returning to the New Victory

Canton Symphony Orchestra to Open MasterWorks Series' Season with HEROES AMONG US, Today

CANTON, OHIO (Sept. 17, 2015) - October 3, 2015 is opening night for the Canton Symphony Orchestra's (CSO) 2015-2016 MasterWorks Series.  The concert, titled “Heroes Among Us”, features percussionist Colin Currie who will be guest soloist on a piece by Christopher Rouse.  The concert will be performed at 8:00pm at Umstattd Performing Arts Hall adjacent to the Zimmermann Symphony Center at 2323 17th Street NW.  The pre-concert lecture, free to all ticket concert ticket holders, begins at 7:00pm.

Metta Theatre Sets Additional Venues for THE KING OF TINY THINGS

Metta Theatre today announces additional venues added to the tour for The King of Tiny Things, as part of the company's 10th anniversary year - Metta10, adapted for the stage by Poppy Burton Morgan from the book by Jeanne Willis and Gwen Millward. Burton Morgan's production opened at the Udderbelly Festival at Southbank Centre on 13 July and now continues on tour to Malvern; Stockton-on-Tees; Greenwich; Leeds; Doncaster; Bristol and Northampton. The press performance will take place at 3:00pm at the Greenwich Theatre. Additional venues added for 2016 include Salisbury Playhouse, Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Dundee Repertory Theatre and Stratford Circus Arts Centre.
