Upcoming Theatre Communication Group Member Shows - 10/10 for Madison

Upstream Theater presents OEDIPUS KING (Oedipus Tyrannos) by Sophocles, in an English version by David Slavitt, directed by Philip Boehm. Our production of this iconic work about a man fated to kill his father and marry his mother features J. Samuel Davis* as Oedipus and Amy Loui* as Jocasta, along with John Bratkowski*, Christopher Harris*, Dennis Lebby*, Laurie McConnell*, Peter Mayer*, & Emily Piro (*indicates member, Actors' Equity Association).

The Nora Theatre Company opens their season with a revival of Eugene O'Neill's enduring masterpiece, A Moon for the Misbegotten. Directed by Richard McElvain, A Moon for the Misbegotten plays at Central Square Theater from Thursday, October 7th through Sunday, November 7th. The press performance is scheduled for Sunday, October 10 at 2 PM.

Once a play has entered public domain, it belongs to everyone. It becomes ours to do with as we please. As such, we thought it'd be cool if we offered up some of the creative decision-making to our audiences. We've selected our first seven plays, and seven directors with very different approaches. We had our audiences assign a play to each director.

THE HOUSE OF THE SPIRITS, an adaptation of Isabel Allende's epic novel written by award-winning playwright Caridad Svich, will play the Denver Center Theatre Company's Space Theatre September 17-October 23 (opening night Thursday, September 23.)
