Sea Dog Theater follows up their award-winning 2018 season with the World Premiere of Devin Burnam's site-specific play, The Catastrophe Club. The production runs October 18 - November 22 and is directed by longtime Sea Dog collaborator Shaun Bennet Fauntleroy. Opening night is slated for October 18.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell has joined forces with Mason Holdings and Sister Sylvester (Founder, Kathryn Hamilton) to present Found, a unique and wholly immersive theatrical experience that allows guests to step into the world of fine artist, Mikel Glass. Directed by Kristjan Thor, the theatrical installation will play performances Wednesday, September 25 through Thursday, October 31, 2019. Tickets are now on sale.

MAX (Media Art and Exploration)-where science and live arts converge-is proud to announce that it will present MAX 2019: A Space Festival in collaboration with the California Academy of Sciences, the Exploratorium, Z Space, as well as a pre-festival event at the San Francisco Playhouse. The festival is organized around three principles: Immersion, Education and Live Performance.

This Halloween, the Brick Theater presents The Testament of a Josh: A Flesh and Blood Musical, an original rock musical by humor writer Brian Boone (books and lyrics) and composer Julian Mesri, and featuring Maybe Burke (fresh off the acclaimed Red Emma and the Mad Monk), John Amir (Theater for a New Audience's Skin of Our Teeth) and Matt Butterfield (600 Highwaymen).

The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center presents its annual PRELUDE FESTIVAL on October 4, 5, and 6 at The Graduate Center, CUNY, The City University of New York, curated by Andrew Kircher in collaboration with Frank Hentschker.

JACK doesn't go slack in the summer.  From a festival of experimental music to a revival of a Wallace Shawn scorcher to poets and rappers reflecting on reparations, JACK brings action to the steamy months. This season features artists we feel are bringing life to our mission of fueling experiments in art and activism, including theater company Sister Sylvester, poet and writer collective Oye Group, director Knud Adams, playwright Amina Henry and burgeoning theater ensemble TV.

On March 8-18, Bother Line, an original Nettles Artists Collective (NAC)-produced one-woman performance created by actress Gio Mielle, will re-emerge at the Tank. Bother Line will have a seven-show stretch and will kick off Women's History Month on International Women's Day. The solo performance shines a light on the microaggressions that weaken and destroy women and culture.

On November 17 and 18, 7 p.m., performer Gio Mielle and theater director Debora Balardini will officially premiere Bother Line, an original one-woman performance produced by Nettles Artists Collective (NAC). With topics befitting contemporary gender-based issues, Bother Line's solo performance is an original piece created and conceptualized by Gio Mielle.

The New York Times chose Sister Sylvester's recent work, Dead Behind These Eyes as a critic's pick and Time Out called their The Maids' The Maids "genuinely subversive." They Are Gone But Here I Must Remain, will be performed September 3rd, open on September  4th and continue September  5th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th and 19th at 8PM.
