PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT Comes To Slow Burn Theatre Company

It's Raining Men! Slow Burn Theatre Company and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts present Priscilla Queen of the Desert in the Amaturo Theatre Thursday, June 13 through Sunday, June 30. This blockbuster musical adaptation of the hit movie is a heartwarming, uplifting adventure of three friends and performers in a Sydney-based performing trio who take their show to the middle of the Australian outback aboard a battered old bus nicknamed Priscilla. The score of dance floor favorites includes "It's Raining Men" and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and this production features Tony Award®-winning costume designs from Broadway. Performance times are Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $47-$60. The show contains adult language or content and is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Simon Phillips Celebrates 30th Anniversary of 'Protocol' With 6-CD Box Set

Drum legend Simon Phillips will be releasing a 6-CD box set on April 12th on Phantom Recordings. This truly deluxe set celebrates the 30th Anniversary of Protocol, the powerhouse jazz-rock vehicle for the music of legendary drummer Simon Phillips (Jeff Beck, Toto, The Who, Mike Oldfield, Hiromi). Included are all of the previous Protocol releases (I, II, III & IV), re-mastered for an even better sonic experience. Plus two full CDs of previously unreleased demos, with the embryonic tunes that would later become finished material for the Protocol II, III & IValbums. Protocol 4, included, was nominated for a Grammy in 2018 for Best Contemporary Instrumental Recording.

Hiromi Performance At The Annenberg Center Is Postponed

The performance by jazz pianist Hiromi, originally scheduled for April 11, 2019 at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, has been postponed until October 12, 2019. Due to pregnancy and her doctor's advice, Hiromi has canceled all upcoming performances.

Tickets Now On Sale for MURIEL'S WEDDING

The highly acclaimed new Australian musical produced by Carmen Pavlovic, CEO of Global Creatures, Muriel's Wedding The Musical, commences in Melbourne in March at Her Majesty's Theatre with previews from March 12 and opening night on March 23.  The Sydney season at the Sydney Lyric Theatre commences with previews from June 28 and opening night July 4.
