Sweat, the new Broadway play opens today at Studio 54. The critically acclaimed new play from Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Lynn Nottage, comes to Broadway following its sold-out run at The Public Theater. Filled with warm humor and tremendous heart, SWEAT tells the story of a group of friends who have spent their lives sharing drinks, secrets and laughs while working together on the factory floor. But when layoffs and picket lines begin to chip away at their trust, the friends find themselves pitted against each other in a heart-wrenching fight to stay afloat. Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Boublil and Schonberg's legendary musical Miss Saigon opens tonight, March 23rd, at The Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway), where the original production of Miss Saigon opened on April 11, 1991. Miss Saigon will play a limited engagement through January 13, 2018, before launching a North American tour. Scroll down to learn more about the company and watch interviews with the cast!

Just last night, Virginia's Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre honored legendary Broadway producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh (The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, LES MISERABLES) with the company's eighth Stephen Sondheim Award. The award, established in 2009, is given to an individual for his or her career contributions to interpreting, supporting, and collaborating on Stephen Sondheim's music works.

Casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for the Signature Theatre production of Venus, written by Residency One playwright Suzan-Lori Parks and directed by Obie Award-winner Lear deBessonet.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of Skeleton Crew by Dominique Morisseau. The Globe is the first regional theatre in the country to mount the play, which was presented here as a reading in the 2014 Powers New Voices Festival before an acclaimed Off Broadway run. San Diego director Delicia Turner Sonnenberg makes her Globe debut to helm the award-winning drama, which is presented in association with San Diego's MOXIE Theatre, where Turner Sonnenberg is Founding Artistic Director.

Seeking to escape their tiresome days on the farm, four spirited animals-a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster-set out on an adventure to realize their dreams and fill their lives with music.

Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern have just announced that original cast members will record the Kid Victory cast recording on Monday, March 20. Broadway Records is set to release the recording in September, produced by Michael Croiter.
