Virginia's Signature Theatre opens its doors for its annual Open House on Sunday, August 6, for an all-day extravaganza full of live performances and arts events across six different stages.

Pittsburgh CLO presents the rock 'n roll hit MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET for the first time, August 8 - 13 at the Benedum Center.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) are pleased to announce additional casting for Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of The Portuguese Kid, a new play written and directed by Tony, Pulitzer Prize, and Academy Award winner John Patrick Shanley, appearing as part of MTC's upcoming 2017-2018 season.

Producers Lorne Michaels and Stuart Thompson have announced casting for the world premiere of the Broadway-bound new musical Mean Girls with a book by nine-time Emmy Award winner Tina Fey, based on her screenplay for the Paramount Pictures film; music by three-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond; and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin. Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs.

This updated retelling of Romeo and Juliet is set in 1950s New York City, yet its themes of racism and hatred of anything deemed "different" ring especially true in today's political climate, sadly. WEST SIDE STORY is a compelling reminder of just how much hatred, prejudice, and ignorance can destroy what we all hold so dear. Roundabout Theatre Company presents the first new play of Roundabout Underground's expanded 2017-2018 season, the world-premiere production of Too Heavy For Your Pocket by Jireh Breon Holder, directed by Margot Bordelon, and featuring Eboni Flowers (Evelyn Brandon), Hampton Fluker (Tony Carter), Brandon Gill (Bowzie Brandon) and Nneka Okafor (Sally-Mae Carter).

The Ensemble for the Romantic Century has announced that the 2017-18 season, ERC's 17th, will take place at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between Dyer and 10th Avenues) beginning August 10th with Van Gogh's Ear. Opening Night is set for August 17th. This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through September 10th only.

The Public Theater will kick off the 2017-18 season in September with a free Public Works musical adaptation of William Shakespeare's As You Like It, adapted by Shaina Taub and Laurie Woolery, with music and lyrics by Shaina Taub, and the company has just been announced!

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of an exciting Globe-commissioned world premiere comedy, Ken Ludwig's Robin Hood!

"Appropriate," the 2014 Obie Award winner for Best New American Play, will be staged at Westport Country Playhouse, from August 15 through September 2. The story of family secrets is written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, 2016 MacArthur Genius Grant Recipient, and directed by David Kennedy, Playhouse associate artistic director.

Casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for the Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director; James Houghton, Founder) productions of Pulitzer Prize-winner Suzan-Lori Parks' The Red Letter Plays: f**king A & In the Blood. Shakespeare & Company presents Intimate Apparel, written by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage and directed by long-time company member Daniela Varon. This winner of the 2004 Steinberg New Play Award, New York Drama Critics' Circle Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award runs in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre from July 20 through August 13, 2017.

Signature Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for A Little Night Music directed by Signature Theatre Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Follies, Gigi). Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Tony Award-winning musical, set in 1900 Sweden, revolves around a tangled web of love affairs.

Songwriter/performer Shaina Taub sets up camp this year at Joe's Pub with her monthly concert residency.
