Colin Quinn, Robert Irvine, THREE PHANTOMS and More Set for Wells Fargo Center for the Arts in 2014

Wells Fargo Center for the Arts rings in the New Year with performances in comedy, cooking, and music in the newly renovated Ruth Finley Person Theater (50 Mark West Springs Road, Santa Rosa). The 2013-2014 season continues with a line-up of renowned comedians, including Colin Quinn's Unconstitutional (January 16), Larry the Cable Guy (January 29) and Kathleen Madigan: Madigan Again (February 15). The star of TV's Restaurant: Impossible will cook up an entertaining evening in Robert Irvine Live! (January 17), while a legend of romance, Engelbert Humperdinck (February 9), and legends of rock, Chicago (February 11), perform just in time for Valentine's Day. Additionally, the 9th season of the Symphony Pops Series continues with Three Phantoms in Concert on February 23.
Herb Alpert Sculptures to be Displayed in Dante Park, ACA Galleries this Month

Three of Alpert's tall black bronze totems, Spirit Totems, will be on exhibit in Dante Park at West 64th Street, between Columbus Avenue and Broadway, on January 25 - April 15, 2014. 'I spent time looking all over New York City for the ideal place for the Spirit Totems. I fell in love with Dante Park because it is an open thoroughfare where the sculptures are visible with a connection to jazz at Lincoln Center,' says Herb Alpert. The large totems are being transported by truck to Manhattan from Malibu, California, for the exhibition. Grace 2006 - 15 feet 8 inches, Freedom 2011 - 16 feet 9 inches, and Gratitude 2009 - 17 feet 2 inches.

ACA Galleries has announced Totems & Deities: The Sculpture of Herb Alpert and Anita Huffington, an exhibition of two artists who found early success in music and dance. The exhibition pairs Alpert's abstract bronze sculptures, which can be compared to the freedom and spontaneity of his improvisational work as a jazz musician, with Huffington's figurative bronze work inspired by the fluidity and form of her experience as a ballet dancer.

Grammy-nominated singer and guitarist John Pizzarelli joins the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra for the NJSO's first pops program of the season-"Home for the Holidays"-December 14 in Newark and December 15 in New Brunswick. Conductor Thomas Wilkins, a frequent NJSO guest conductor and audience favorite, leads concerts that feature the Salvation Army Montclair Citadel Band and the New Jersey High School Holiday Chorus.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the Artistic Direction of Diane Paulus, has announced that the folk band Poor Old Shine has joined the company of The Heart of Robin Hood to create and perform live original music. The production is written by David Farr and directed by Gisli Örn Gardarsson and begins performances Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Loeb Drama Center, Cambridge and runs through Sunday, January 19, 2014. It will be available for press viewing from Wednesday, December 18 at 7:30pm.
