Abingdon to Honor Tyne Daly at 20th Anniversary Gala, 10/29

Abingdon Theatre Company - which has produced more than 77 new American plays in its 20-year history - is set to celebrate its 20th Anniversary with ABINGDON: SETTING THE STAGE FOR 20 YEARS, its Annual Benefit Gala and dinner on Monday, October 29 at Espace (635 West 42nd Street) Manhattan, beginning at 6pm.

Count Dracula, the world's most famous vampire, returns to the New York stage in DRACULA by Hamilton Deane and John L. 2009 Theatre Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

The 2009 Theatre Hall of Fame inductees have been revealed and include such icons as actors Jim Dale, John McMartin and Lynn Redgrave; producers Roger Berlind and Ted Mann; composers Stephen Schwartz and Andrew Lloyd Webber; and, posthumously, the late playwright/actor Charles Ludlum. The Annual Theatre Hall of Fame ceremony, now in its 39th year, will be held Jan. 25, 2010, in the Gershwin Theatre's North Rotunda. Terry Hodge Taylor is producing the event.

2009 Tony Award Nominations Round-Up

Nominations in 27 competitive categories for the American Theatre Wing's 63rd Annual Antoinette Perry 'Tony' Awards were announced by Tony Award Winners Cynthia Nixon and Lin-Manuel Miranda from the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.

Composer/lyricist Jerry Herman, Virginia's Signature Theatre, and longtime press agent Shirley Herz will be honored at the 63rd annual Tony Awards ceremony on June 7. Actress/writer Phyllis Newman will receive the newest Tony Award for her volunteer work as an advocate for women's health.
