Keke Palmer makes her Broadway debut by stepping into the title role of Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA tonight, September 9, 2014, thus making history as the first African-American Cinderella on Broadway. Sherri Shepherd also joins the production as 'Madame' this evening.

Samuel Goldwyn Films has entered an agreement with Shout! Factory to release the classic Lesley Ann Warren version of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella on home video. Cinderella comes to life in this 50th Anniversary Edition of the most beloved fairy tale of all time, available on DVD from Shout! Factory today, September 9, 2014. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the Tony Award-winning musical Rodgers +Hammerstein's Cinderella will soon welcome film and television star Keke Palmer as Cinderella, Emmy Winner Sherri Shepherd as her wicked stepmother Madame, and Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award-winning actress Judy Kaye as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother - beginning September 12 at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway) in New York City. Deadline writes that ABC's daytime talk show THE VIEW has finally zeroed in on its new co-hosts. Sherri Shepherd announced today on ABC's 'The View' that she will join the previously announced Keke Palmer in the Tony Award winning musical Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA. Ms. Shepherd will make her Broadway debut on September 9 as Cinderella's wicked stepmother, Madame.
