Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, will present a private reading of a new musical comedy A DOCTOR IN SPITE OF HIMSELF by Sheldon Harnick, based on Molière's LE MEDECIN MALGRE LUI, today, February 1 at MTC Studios. The musical features a score by Harnick, as well as English Adaptation and Additional Dialogue. The reading will be directed by David Glenn Armstrong, with musical direction by Amanda Morton. The cast will feature Ben Davis, Beth Fowler, David Garrison, Cady Huffman, Charles Kimbrough, Jose Llana, Patrick Richwood, Robb Sapp and Elena Shaddow.

Former congressman Barney Frank will assume the role of a conservative senator when he makes his stage debut on Saturday, February 2 in Fiorello!, the opening musical of New York City Center's Encores! 20th Anniversary season.

On February 23, 24 and 25 Lyrics & Lyricists tours Miss Peggy Lee's hip musical landscape with guest artistic director Billy Stritch and vocalists Barbara Fasano, La Tanya Hall and Gabrielle Stravelli. Cabaret legend Marilyn Maye, who frequently includes Peggy Lee classics in her shows, joins the show as a special guest.

Bock and Harnick's Fiorello!, the opening musical of the Encores! 20th Anniversary season, will star Kate Baldwin, Erin Dilly, Jenn Gambatese, Shuler Hensley and Emily Skinner, with Danny Rutigliano as Fiorello LaGuardia. Fiorello! will be directed by Gary Griffin with choreography by Alex Sanchez and music direction by Rob Berman. The show will run for seven performances from January 30 - February 3 at New York City Center.

On Sunday, February 3 at 5 p.m., in the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College, Carnegie Hall gives Broadway fans the exclusive opportunity to sing along with the brightest stars of today at a FREE Community Sing presented by Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute. For the past 38 years, Westchester Broadway Theatre has donated a matinee performance of one of its mainstage productions each year to the children residing in the area hospitals and in Group Homes in Westchester County. This Year the children will be treated to our new musical production of 'FIDDLER ON THRE ROOF'.
