FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, one of Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston's top-five-selling shows of all time, is back by popular demand July 11-21 starring Boston television personality and IRNE Award winner Scott Wahle as Tevye. Reprising the role that earned him critical acclaim 10 years ago, Wahle leads a cast of 45 in this timeless musical based on Sholem Aleichem's beloved stories.Donna Sorbello, the IRNE Award-winning actress who starred as Mrs. Higgins in last season's My Fair Lady at Reagle Music Theatre, returns as Tevye's wife, Golde.

This summer, Princeton Summer Theater returns to circle the globe and traverse the genres, fall in love and fall off bridges, conceal family scandals and expose the horrors of war. The 2013 Season presents a collection of tales of ordinary people leading extraordinary lives! As Mercer County's premiere summer repertory company for more than four decades, PST produces four mainstage shows, a children's play, and several children's workshops over 8 weeks annually in the intimate Hamilton Murray Theater on Princeton University's campus.

Fiddler on the Roof, a gem from Broadway's Golden Age of musicals, moves to Solvang to launch PCPA's summer season. It plays from tonight, June 13 through July 6, performances are at 8pm. Fiddler is a celebration of life and its challenges. Trying to balance life - like a fiddler on a roof - Tevye attempts to hold onto his traditions despite sweeping social change that is upsetting his family values while threatening his town's very existence.

Today in 1993, the first Broadway revival of She Loves Me opened at Criterion Center Stage Right, where it ran for 354 performances. She Loves Me is a 1963 musical with a book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and music by Jerry Bock. The plot revolves around Budapest shop employees Georg Nowack and Amalia Balash who, despite being consistently at odds with each other at work, are unaware that each is the other's secret pen pal met through lonely-hearts ads. The Revival cast featured Boyd Gaines as Georg, Judy Kuhn as Amalia, Sally Mayes as Ilona, Howard McGillin as Kodaly, Lee Wilkof as Ladislav, Brad Kane as Arpad, and Louis Zorich as Mr. Maraczek. A revival cast recording was released by Varese Sarabande.

On Saturday, June 22 at 8:30pm and Sunday, June 23 at 4pm, Caramoor kicks off the 68th Summer Festival with its first ever Broadway production, She Loves Me. Joining the cast will be John Cullum, Ryan Silverman, Brad Oscar, Etai BenShlomo and Jonathan Freeman. Michele Lynch will choreograph.

Chanhassen Dinner Theatres (CDT) is thrilled to announce that FIDDLER ON THE ROOF will return to the Main Stage for the first time in 20 years. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF last graced the Main Stage in 1993 to mark Chanhassen's 25th anniversary. This time around, the theatres' most widely requested show will mark CDT's 45th anniversary. The production will run from September 27th, 2013 through January 25, 2014.

I thought about many happy childhood musical theater memories last night while I attended the Dutch Treat Club's Annual Gold Medal Tribute Dinner and Show at the Harvard Club in honor of the legendary 'Fiddler of the Roof' lyricist Sheldon Harnick, who received the Club's Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in the Arts.

Today we are talking to a legendary triple-threat performer who over the course of her unique career has become one of a select few in show business to have attained the entertainment quadruple crown - Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony, that is; commonly referred to as the EGOT - the exceptionally gifted Rita Moreno. Exploring many aspects of her revealing and absorbing new autobiography RITA MORENO: A MEMOIR, Moreno opens up about her unique and boundary-breaking career in Hollywood and on Broadway, having appearing in three of the greatest movie musicals of all time - SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, THE KING & I and WEST SIDE STORY - as well as in the Mike Nichols classic CARNAL KNOWLEDGE, in addition to an impressive list of TV and theatre credits. Additionally, Moreno reveals her insights into the creative process itself and the strides she made in the industry as the first Latin American actress to win an Academy Award.
