Lyrics & Lyricists 2016 season opens with real-life theatrical drama as three-time Tony-winner Kathleen Marshall returns to 92Y with the nail-biting stories behind the 11th-hour songs that saved the day and became Broadway classics. The show runs January 9-11 at 92Y.

The new Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof is got into the holiday spirit by celebrating the first night of Chanukah on Sunday at DOROT on Upper East Side. DOROT, an innovative leader in mobilizing volunteers of all ages to improve the lives and health of the elderly, welcomed members of the Fiddler cast to perform 'If I Were a Rich Man' and 'Sunrise, Sunset' and visit with the seniors. BC/EFA Receives $1.65 Million in Total This Year from Fred Ebb Foundation

The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell Bernard, Trustee) has announced that its 2015 donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will total $1.65 million dollars, bringing the foundation's total contribution to BC/EFA to $11.65 million since it began eleven years ago. The foundation, which is funded by royalties from the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb's vast catalogue of work, makes an annual donation to BC/EFA.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Byron Jennings (Maraczek) will star alongside Laura Benanti (Amalia), Zachary Levi (Georg), Gavin Creel (Kodaly), Michael McGrath (Sipos) and Jane Krakowski (Ilona) in Roundabout's new Broadway production of She Loves Me, directed by Scott Ellis, choreographed by Warren Carlyle with musical direction by Paul Gemignani. This classic musical comedy features a book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock. Jennings replaces the previously announced Rene Auberjonois in the role.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announces a new partnership with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and DreamWorks Studios to present the highly successful annual program, The ASCAP Foundation Musical Theatre Workshop. Now in its 23rd year under the leadership of Artistic Director Stephen Schwartz, the workshop -- giving selected composers and lyricists the opportunity to present selections from original musical works in progress for professional critique -- will take place at The Wallis in Beverly Hills from Feb. 16-18, 2016, with submissions now being accepted. The Fred Ebb Foundation in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company presents the eleventh annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Stacey Luftig and Phillip Palmer. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, will be presented by Karen Ziemba tonight, November 30th from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater.
