BTG's exciting revival is the first ever full-scale New York City and Off-Broadway revival of the hit musical. Previews of Fiorello! will began Sunday, September 4, at East 13th Street Theater (136 East 13th Street, between 3rd and 4th Avenues), with opening night being held tonihgt, September 9, 2016.

The rich orchestrations and beautiful score to the powerful production numbers and emotionally-charged story, this is the show everyone should experience. Touching audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth and honesty, this universal show is on stage for the fourth time at The Round Barn Theatre due to popular demand.  Fiddler is a patron favorite and this production promises all the same heart, depth, and sentiment that has audiences returning again and again.

Stage Door Theatre's September production is a Tony Award-winning musical based on the fascinating story of one family's rise from the ghettos of late eighteenth century Germany to domination of the European financial community and the loftiest echelons of society.  The Rothschilds will open on September 2nd and run through October 16th in the theatre's large auditorium.

Actor, vocalist and activist Theodore Bikel died July 21, 2015 at age 91 in Los Angeles. He will be remembered in a memorial concert in New York City, titled 'Remembering Theo - an evening of music, laughter and love,' September 27 in The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (68th Street between Park and Lexington Ave.). The evening will feature musical performances by many of Bikel's friends and treasured colleagues.

Along with the blaring burlesque trumpet that climaxes GYPSY's overture, the soft and hesitant sound of Fiddler on the Roof's opening fiddle solo that leads into Tevye's introduction of the people of Anatevka is among Broadway's most famous and beloved orchestral moments.

Though Herschel Bernardi's name was above the title on the opening nights of Broadway's BAJOUR and ZORBA, the musical theatre role he's most known for is one where he came in as a replacement, Teyve in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.

Before teaming with Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick contributed songs to several Broadway revues.

Today, BTG is thrilled to announce the complete and final casting of this exciting revival - the first ever full-scale New York City and Off-Broadway revival of the hit musical!

ALGONQUIN THEATER PRODUCTIONS and JASON HEWITT proudly present the world premiere of On the Rails, a new musical with book by Tony Sportiello (Second Chance, National Pastime), music and lyrics by Al Tapper (Sessions, An Evening at the Carlyle), arrangements and musical direction by David Wolfson, and directed by Misti B. While visiting the MUNY to see their production of Fiddler on the Roof, featuring the world stage premiere of a song originally written for the movie version of the musical, legendary stage composer Sheldon Harnick was inducted into the MUNY Hall of Fame, and BroadwayWorld brings you photos from the event.

Set during a period of great turmoil just prior to the Russian revolution (1905), FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is a joyous celebration of life in times of uncertainty. Most versions I've seen have been scaled down considerably, focusing on the more intimate scenes. That's certainly not the case here. The MUNY's spectacular production gives us the full breadth and scope of Joseph Stein, Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock's thoughtful and heart warming take on themes of family and tradition. Anchored by a particularly strong cast and top notch staging this, is quite simply, perfection!
