The Actors Fund has announced a star-studded lineup for the 2018 Looking Ahead Awards hosted by Garrett Clayton ("Hairspray Live!," "Teen Beach Movie") and Ashley Argota ("The Fosters") on Sunday, October 28 from 4-8pm at the magnificent Taglyan Complex in Hollywood. The fifth annual gala, which raises support and awareness for The Actors Fund's Looking Ahead Program, features exciting "blue carpet" arrivals, cocktail hour, gourmet dinner, awards ceremony and live performances. This week the Berkshire Theatre Critics Association is voting on the final award list in preparation for the Third Annual Berkshire Theatre Awards. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held on Monday, November 12 at 7 pm at the Zion Lutheran Church, 74 First Street (Route 7) in Pittsfield, MA.

The UK Theatre Awards 2018 were hosted by Olivier-nominated musical theatre performer Tyrone Huntley, and presenters included Wendi Peters, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Ria Jones, Matt Cardle, Emma Williams and Michael Ellis MP.

Disney's highly-acclaimed a cappella group, DCappella, have announced Friday, Nov. 16 as the official release date for their forthcoming self-titled debut album, which will be available at all digital and physical retailers. Following the release will be the group's first ever North American tour, set to visit The Smith Center in Las Vegas on March 16, 2019. The multi-city trek is set to hit 40-US markets including Nashville, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Chicago and the Los Angeles area. The tour features a contemporary production of new Deke Sharon arrangements of Disney classic and modern hits, bringing to life a truly unique a cappella experience. Skincare company H2O+ Beauty is the co-sponsor of the national tour.

JFix Productions and Choreography presents music from the new musical, Freefall Frostbite, a show that had a successful Off-Broadway run last October at Theatre 80 at St Marks. The show will take place at Feinstein's/54 Below on October 16th at 9:30PM. Tickets can be purchased at the 54 Below website.

Hackney Empire presents Aladdin, its landmark 20th anniversary Christmas pantomime from writer and director Susie McKenna. Gemma Sutton (Gypsy, The Rink) takes on the title role and will be joined byJulie Yammanee (Spamilton, Here Lies Love) as Princess Ling Mai and Empire regular Kat B as Genie of the Lamp. As previously announced, Hackney Empire's Olivier Award-winning Grande Dame of pantomime Clive Rowe will be making his Hackney comeback in the role of Widow Twankey. Last seen in 2015, Aladdin will mark Rowe's 12th panto with the venue. There will also be a Hackney homecoming for Olivier Award nominated actress, television star and comedian Tameka Empson (EastEnders) who will return to play The Empress in her sixth Empire panto and following her last stage appearance 9 years ago.

Dance Umbrella, London's flagship festival of international dance, is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary. To mark this milestone DU launched Four by Four - a programme inspired by the festival's four decades of artistic growth, a way of moving forwards by looking back.

This year's UK Theatre Awards winners were revealed today (Sunday 14 October) in a lunchtime ceremony at London's Guildhall.

Trinity Rep is proud to present its annual holiday tradition, A Christmas Carol. Noted for being a new production each year, the 2018 production has been inspired by a traditional telling of the famed Dickens classic.  This year the production will be directed Mark Valdez, who directed Fuente Ovejuna, or Like Sheep to Water at Trinity Rep in 2017.

Totem Pole Playhouse, America's beloved summer theatre located in Caledonia State Park between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, PA, has announced the opening of the Totem Pole Playhouse Academy. The new performing arts training center will be housed in the Playhouse's recently renovated rehearsal space named after Totem Pole's former Artistic Producer and Directors, Carl Schurr and Wil Love.

Shoshana Greenberg and Hyeyoung Kim announce two mini-workshop presentations of DAYS OF RAGE on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at 7pm, and Thursday, October 18, 2018, at 4pm at Town Stages, 221 West Broadway, NYC. The presentations feature Shanice Williams (Dorothy in The Wiz Live) and Alex Joseph Grayson (A Bronx Tale) and will comprise the first act of the show.

New Stage Theatre, a professional theatre located in Jackson, Mississippi, will have a free Educator's Night on Thursday, October 25, 2018. This evening includes previews of our 2018-19 Education tours, a presentation on workshop and residency options, and free tickets to that evening's performance of Diary of Anne Frank.
