Josh Strickland's New Single Lands Top Ten Spot on iTunes

Josh Strickland, currently starring in PEEPSHOW and 'Holly's World' on E!, debuted his first ever solo artist single on iTunes last Wednesday. The song, titled 'Report to the Floor' was co-produced by Grammy Award winning producer Damon Elliott and by Norwegian pop/dance producer Axident. The single has now taken the world by storm and reached the top ten on the iTunes Dance Charts.

Josh Strickland, currently starring in PEEPSHOW and "Holly's World" on E!, debuted his first ever solo artist single on iTunes on Wednesday. The song, titled "Report to the Floor" was co-produced by Grammy Award winning producer Damon Elliott and by Norwegian pop/dance producer Axident. Since the song's release on iTunes yesterday the song has already climbed into the top 50 on the iTunes Dance Chart.

Tonight, 'Idol' saw the return of Shania Twain, who joined the audition process in Chicago, as the contestants sang from her vast catalog of songs. Twain is primarily a country artist, which resulted in a marked change for some of the contestants. The majority of the themes thus far have fit nicely into the pop genre and, while Twain's songs are definitely pop, the country influence allowed us to see the versatility of the performers as they tackled a new challenge.

'American Idol' Tops Ratings in Second Week

Last night's two-hour season premiere of the ninth season of American Idol still garnered masterful ratings, despite recent shakeups and changes. With Paula Abdul's departure and Simon Cowell's very recent announcement that he, too, is leaving the show, American Idol still was the most watched show of the night with 29.9 million viewers.
