Clemens Schick in WINDOWS Opens At Odyssey Theatre 10/26-30

Nicholas Goldsborough in association with the Odyssey Theatre is presenting award-winning German theater and film actor Clemens Schick who will appear in Windows at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble for a limited engagement, October 26 through October 30, 2011.

NT Live Will Broadcast THE KITCHEN B

National Theatre Live continues its third season with Nicholas Arnold Wesker's extraordinary black comedy THE KITCHEN, set in a restaurant in 1950s London, directed by Bijan Sheibani, featuring an ensemble cast of 29 actors. National Theatre Live is an initiative by the UK's National Theatre to broadcast live performances onto cinema screens around the world. THE KITCHEN will be also broadcast to more than 200 additional U.S. movie theaters nationwide through NCM's digital broadcast network.

First Draft Debuts THE HASHISH EATERS, 10/18 & 25

First Draft at Charter Theater - a nonprofit organization devoted to developing theater audiences alongside new plays, support local DC artists and partner with theaters looking to produce new work - announced today that it will present two readings of the new play, 'The Hashish Eaters' by Billy Finn, a dark, suspenseful story about a young American soldier stationed in Afghanistan who finds himself being pulled into the dangerous machinations of his commanding officer.

Quintessence Theatre Presents THE VENETIAN TWINS, MERCHANT OF VENICE

Quintessence Theatre Group launches its second season with two classic comedies: Carlo Goldoni's THE VENETIAN TWINS, in a translation by Ranjit Bolt, and William Shakespeare's THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, to be presented in repertory and directed by Alexander Burns.

Arena Stage's YOU, NERO Cast Announced

Arena Stage announces casting for You, Nero by American Voices New Play Institute resident playwright and Pulitzer Prize finalist Amy Freed. Making his Arena Stage debut is director Nicholas Martin (Broadway's Present Laughter, Butley). You, Nero runs November 25, 2011-January 1, 2012 in the Fichandler Stage.

Justin Timberlake Eyed for A TIME TO KILL on Broadway?

Now, Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post that the play is getting closer to Broadway with a new reading set for Friday in New York, featuring Beau Bridges, his daughter Emily and Shuler Hensley. Riedel also reports that Justin Timberlake who has been looking for a theatre project will be 'approached' for the role of the show's young legal protege, Jack Brigance, played out of town by Sebastian Arcelus. There's no word on a potential timeline for the show, or if Timberlake is interested in the part.
