Nathaniel P. Claridad (the original company of Here Lies Love) directs and serves as head writer for the new investigative theatre piece that will play October 23rd through November 1 at the Access Theatre.

Turning away from what she calls Oscar Wilde's "Dance of Death" and instead creating a "Dance of Life," internationally acclaimed adaptor-director Yael Farber has reinterpreted the biblical figure known as Salome as an agent of revolution whose mysterious act-demanding the head of John the Baptist-changed the course of history. The world premiere of Salome opens the Shakespeare Theatre Company's 2015-2016 Mainstage Season and marks the Company's entry in the Women's Voices Theater Festival. The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) has chosen Julie Taymor as the 2015 recipient of the William Shakespeare Award for Classical Theatre (Will Award), which recognizes artists who have made significant contributions to classical theatre in America. JM Zell Partners, Ltd. will receive the Sidney Harman Award for Philanthropy in the Arts. BroadwayWorld has just learned that Broadway and Australian stage vet Anthony Warlow, who is currently starring as 'Charles Frohman' and 'Captain Hook' in FINDING NEVERLAND, will remain in the show longer than expected. Warlow, who was previously sceduled to end his run on September 13, will continue through September 27.
This fall, RLT will expand its adult acting classes, which take students through the process of preparing for the stage and help build skills useful in everyday life. The line-up includes a diverse slate of classes, including Public Speaking - On the Light Side! and Introduction to Improvisation. For the first time, RLT will partner with the CAM Raleigh to offer a course, Acting for Creative Entrepreneurs, at the museum. The class runs from October 5-26 on Monday nights and is taught by Patrick Torres, Artistic Director, who also directed the hit production of Monty Python's SPAMALOT currently running at RLT.
