Revival of THE SECRET GARDEN In the Works for Broadway!

BroadwayWorld has just learned that producers Gerald Goehring and Mike Mitri are aiming to bring The Secret Garden back to Broadway. The duo picked up an option for Broadway after seeing Shakespeare Theatre Company's current production in Washington D.C. (starring original Mary, Daisy Eagan), which will soon move to Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre.

Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), in association with Seattle Repertory Theatre and San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, will present Mike Bartlett's King Charles III, a modern history play, at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street) from February 7-March 12, 2017. The co-production is directed by David Muse, Artistic Director at Studio Theatre and formerly Associate Artistic Director at STC.

Hartford Stage Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts announced today the creative team and cast - a lively ensemble of actors, singers, dancers, musicians and acrobats - for William Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors, a musical extravaganza directed by Tresnjak and choreographed by Peggy Hickey. Written and first presented two decades ago, FULLY COMMITTED was revised and revived in New York recently with Broadway veteran and one of the costars of TV comedy hit 'Modern Family,' Jesse Tyler Ferguson. This brought enough interest in the show to warrant additional productions and Carolyn Griffin, artistic leader of MetroStage thought it was the perfect vehicle for two of the DC areas hardest working artists: Tom Story and Alan Paul.
