Frantic Assembly Announce Full Casting For I THINK WE ARE ALONE

Frantic Assembly today announced the full casting for I Think We Are Alone, a major new play by Sally Abbott (The Coroner, Vera), co-directed by Kathy Burke (Lady Windermere's Fan, The Retreat) and Scott Graham (Fatherland, Things I Know to be True). The work will premiere at Theatre Royal Plymouth on 3rd February and tour to venues including Theatre Royal Stratford East, The Lowry, Nuffield Southampton, Bristol Old Vic, and Leicester's Curve in Spring 2020. The production sits at the centre of a year of programming celebrating 25 years of Frantic Assembly.

Janis Joplin Returns To Monadnock Region Via Musical

Janis Joplin was a one of a kind. A legend whose life and meteoric career only lasted a few brief years. Long enough for her to perform at Franklin Pierce College's Winter Carnival in 1969. In January of 1968, Wesleyan University paid Janis (along with her band, Big Brother and the Holding Company) $2,500 for a performance. By the time Franklin Pierce's Social Committee booked her for a February 8, 1969 performance, her rate had soared to $20,000. Less than 2 years later, Janis died of a heroin overdose on October 4, 1970, at the age of 27.

VFW Jaffrey Memorial Post Sponsored An Auditorium Seat at Jaffrey's Park Theatre

The Park Theatre received a $1,000 gift from the VFW Jaffrey Memorial Post to sponsor a seat in the new 350 seat William David Eppes Auditorium. The $1,000 gift was presented by the VFW Jaffrey Post Commander, David Watts, to The Park Theatre's CEO and Managing Director, Steve Jackson. The presentation was made on October 29 inside the construction site of the new performing arts center in Jaffrey, New Hampshire.
