Ghostlight Records releases the cast album of the critically-acclaimed musical revival of THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM from Roundabout Theatre Company today, September 9, 2016.

The Public Theater's free PUBLIC WORKS production of TWELFTH NIGHT, conceived by Kwame Kwei-Armah and Shaina Taub, with music and lyrics by Shaina Taub, and directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah, just finished its run at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, September 2 through September 5. For the past three years some of New York's most joyous theatrical celebrations have graced the city as the first September chill starts to pervade Central Park's Delecorte, when the Public Theater's Public Works program assembles a cast of over 200 strong to saturate a classic text with the flavor of the five boroughs.

The Public Theater kicks off the 2016-17 season this month with a free Public Works musical adaptation of TWELFTH NIGHT, conceived by Kwame Kwei-Armah and Shaina Taub, with music and lyrics by Shaina Taub.

It's a big week ahead for composer/lyricist Shaina Taub, whose score for the Public Theater's Public Works production of a new musical adaptation of Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT premieres this weekend.

Ragtime was presented in an invitation-only, one-night-only event on Ellis Island last night, narrated by two-time Tony Award winner and original Ragtime Broadway cast member Brian Stokes Mitchell. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the starry cast in action below!

The concert presentation might have wrapped up last night, but that doesn't mean it's the end of Ragtime. Event presenter Suzanne Friedman has an eye towards an immersive, full production of the acclaimed American musical on Ellis Island in 2017.

Ellis Island got a little more Broadway last night, as Ragtime was presented in an  invitation-only, one-night-only event, narrated by two-time Tony Award winner and original Ragtime Broadway cast member Brian Stokes Mitchell. The concert starred  two-time Tony Award nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (Shuffle Along, Motown) as Coalhouse Walker Jr., Olivier Award winner Laura Michelle Kelly (Finding Neverland, Mary Poppins) as Mother, Emmy Award winner Michael Park(Dear Evan Hansen, Tuck Everlasting) as Father, acclaimed stage and television star Andy Mientus (Spring Awakening, Les Miserables) as Younger Brother, Shaina Taub (Hadestown, Old Hats) as Emma Goldman, Aisha Jackson (Waitress, Beautiful) as Sarah, and Robert Petkoff (All The Way,Ragtime) reprising his 2009 Broadway revival role of Tateh.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) presented the Women of Note concert series, celebrating female, queer and trans artists who are changing the landscape of musical theatre, on Monday, August 1 at The Duke on 42nd Street. Featuring dynamic sounds and incredible performers, this one-night-only concert event showcased even more artists than last year in two back-to-back performances. Directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah, TWELFTH NIGHT will once again feature over 200 actors and community members alongside five equity actors, including this year Nikki M. James as Viola and Jose Llana as Orsino.

Ghostlight Records will celebrate the cast album of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of SHE LOVES ME with a special in-store performance and CD signing at Barnes & Noble tonight, August 3 at 7:00 PM featuring Laura Benanti, Jane Krakowski and other cast members, featuring the show's lyricist Sheldon Harnick as special guest.

Kyle Riabko - star and creator of the hit West End show Close to You: Bacharach Reimagined and the earlier acclaimed Off-Broadway version What's it All About? Bacharach Reimagined - will bring his extraordinary Burt Bacharach arrangements to Joe's Pub at the Public for a solo concert and album launch on Monday, October 17 at 7:00 PM and Tuesday, October 18 at 9:30 PM.

The 'half-lament, half-rallying cry' was originally written in response to the Sandy Hook shootings.

Ghostlight Records has announced that physical copies of the cast album of the critically-acclaimed Broadway revival of SHE LOVES ME are available online and in stores today, Friday, July 29.

The show will include the two songwriters doing arrangements of each other's work.
