The fifth production of the 2012 Hangar season is a true American classic, Horton Foote's The Trip to Bountiful. This intensely moving and riveting story of acceptance and coming home again will be directed by the Hangar's Associate Artistic Director Stephanie Yankwitt (Hangar's Rounding Third) and features a cast of local favorites including Susannah Berryman (Hangar's Penelope of Ithaca, The Chalk Circle, Cabaret, and The Rainmaker) and Jesse Bush (Hangar's Ever So Humble, Disney's Beauty and the Beast). The Trip to Bountiful opens tonight, September 7, and runs through September 15th.

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts announces its 2012/2013 Off-Broadway at the Marcus Center series with performances in Todd Wehr Theater and Vogel Hall.

Celebrity blogger and television personality Perez Hilton checked out the smash Off-Broadway hit SILENCE! The Musical this past Friday evening, August 31st at the brand new Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square. Afterward he tweeted, 'Saw SILENCE! in NYC. Loved! The Musical the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli, will open a Los Angeles company with performances beginning tonight, August 31, at the Hayworth Theatre. Jeffery Roberson, aka drag superstar Varla Jean Merman, will return to New York this fall in the title role of Menotti's musical thriller THE MEDIUM at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater, directed by Donna Drake, running from Oct. 25th - Nov. 11th.

This season, The Kentucky Center is offering something for everyone.
