ABC News' NIGHTLINE Improves Year Over Year in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the Week of 4/23

ABC News' “Nightline” averaged 1.231 million Total Viewers, 462,000 Adults 25-54 and 343,000 Adults 18-49, during the week of April 23, 2018, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” beat CBS' “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (1.207 million, 381,000 and 281,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+24,000), Adults 25-54 (+81,000) and Adults 18-49 (+62,000).

Ashley Monroe Set To Perform on LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS on 5/14

Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Ashley Monroe is set to make the national TV debut of “Hands On You,” from her brand new album Sparrow, on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers May 14. Sparrow, called 'her most ambitious, startling and first-to-last engrossing album yet' by the Wall Street Journal, was produced by Dave Cobb and recorded in Nashville's historic RCA Studio A. Arriving #1 on iTunes Singer / Songwriter charts, NPR Music notes that on Sparrow 'Monroe sounds more sensitive, sensual and comfortable in her skin than she ever has' with Paste proclaiming it to be '…one of the strongest and most grown up country albums to be released this decade.'

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has finished #1 for the late-night ratings week of April 23-27 in the key demographic of adults 18-49, according to “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research. Note that “Jimmy Kimmel Live” aired a Friday encore.

HBO to Adapt Michelle McNamera's I'LL BE GONE IN THE DARK to Documentary Series on Golden State Killer

According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO and Liz Garbus are going to adapt Michelle McNamera's 'I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer' book to a documentary series. This comes on the heels of the golden state killer being arrested on April 24.

PBS today unveiled a list of America's 100 best-loved novels, chosen in support of THE GREAT AMERICAN READ, a new PBS series and multi-platform initiative that celebrates the joy of reading and the books we love. THE GREAT AMERICAN READ, hosted by television personality and journalist Meredith Vieira, launches with a two-hour episode on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 8 p.m. on PBS stations and will introduce viewers to the full list of America's 100 favorite novels selected through a demographically representative national survey conducted by YouGov. The series will also feature interviews with celebrities, authors, superfans and everyday Americans discussing the way particular books have influenced them and their significance in American popular culture. Then, after a multi-platform initiative throughout the summer, which will include live public events, social media components and national reading clubs, the series will resume in the fall with several themed episodes, including an exciting finale, culminating in the first-ever national vote to choose 'America's Best-Loved Novel.' It will be the most expansive national celebration of books and reading aimed at engaging multi-generational readers across multiple platforms ever created.
