Tom Skerritt will soon make his Broadway debut in A Time to Kill, as Lucien Wilbanks, the mentor to protagonist Jake Brigance (played by Sebastian Arcelus), in the thrilling, iconic courtroom drama. In a recent interview with the New York post, Skerritt opened up about the project.

Fall is quickly approaching, which means that Broadway will soon be blowing up with brand new productions. Ten plays will be eligible for Tony nominations next year, including: Romeo and Juliet, The Glass Menagerie, The Winslow Boy, A Time to Kill, Betrayal, The Snow Geese, Twelfth Night/Richard III, Macbeth, Waiting for Godot/No Man's Land, and 700 Sundays. 9 Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick will be rockin' every night beginning September 24 with music and laughter. George Street Playhouse and Artistic Director David Saint have announced casting for the opening production for the venerable theatre's fortieth season. Gettin' The Band Back Together (formerly titled Garage Band) is a rockin' valentine to the Garden State, and will be directed by Tony Award-winner John Rando - who also helmed The Toxic Avenger in New Brunswick (and New York) a few seasons back. Gettin' The Band Back Together will rock the house beginning Tuesday, September 24 and continue through Sunday, October 27. Opening night is set for Friday, October 4. Gettin' The Band Back Together is performed by special arrangement with Davenport Theatrical Enterprises, Inc. and Roy Putrino.

Fifty-three of Broadway's brightest and most compassionate stars spent last night sleeping on the streets outside the Covenant House crisis shelter in Manhattan in solidarity with the 300 homeless young people living inside.The first-ever Covenant House Broadway Sleep Out raised over $136,000 to provide food, clothing, shelter, and hope for homeless youth.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, PRINCE OF BROADWAY, the new musical celebrating legendary Broadway director and producer Harold 'Hal' Prince has been postponed indefinitely due to scheduling conflicts. Now in an interview with the Washington Post, Prince revealed that the show will soon premiere at Tokyo's Umeda Arts Theater and will hopefully move on the Broadway after.

This fall, the George Street Playhouse (David Saint, Artistic Director) in New Brunswick, New Jersey, will present the world premiere production of the new musical 'GARAGE BAND' for a five-week limited engagement, September 24 through October 27, 2013.
