City Theatre to Present Anna Ziegler's THE LAST MATCH

?City Theatre presents the Pittsburgh premiere of Anna Ziegler's tennis play, The Last Match. The production runs April 9 - May 15 in the Lester Hamburg Studio at City Theatre. It is directed by City Theatre Artistic Director, Tracy Brigden.

Berkeley Rep to Present West Coast Premiere of Zimmerman's TREASURE ISLAND

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the West Coast premiere of Treasure Island by Tony Award-winning director Mary Zimmerman. Critically praised as "nothing short of sublime" (Chicago-Sun Times), and "Zimmerman remains a superior storyteller " (Chicago Tribune), Treasure Island, a co-production with Chicago's Lookingglass Theatre Company, is a glorious adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's most beloved novel. Previews begin Friday, April 22, and the show runs through Sunday, June 5, 2016. Press night for Treasure Island will be held on Friday, April 29. Berkeley Rep to Premiere of John Leguizamo's New Show 'LATIN HISTORY FOR DUMMIES'

Berkeley Rep announced today it will present the world premiere of John Leguizamo: Latin History for Dummies. Written and performed by Leguizamo and directed by Berkeley Rep's Michael Leibert Artistic Director Tony Taccone, this limited engagement will run Friday, July 1-Sunday, August 14 in the newly renovated Peet's Theatre. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 6 to the general public at berkeleyrep.org or by calling 510-647-2949.

TeenTix Receives Nesholm Family Foundation Grant

TeenTix is the recipient of the two-year grant from the Nesholm Family Foundation totaling $50,000. TeenTix is a Seattle-based organization dedicated to ensuring equitable access to the arts for all teens. The grant will help fund the initial phase of a five-year project called Teens Count: The Teen Audiences Knowledge Project.

LIZARD BOY to Receive NYC Industry Reading at Playwrights Horizons

The new folk-rock musical Lizard Boy, which took Seattle by storm in it's world premiere at Seattle Repertory Theatre in 2015, will receive two private industry readings directed by Brandon Ivie (Jasper in Deadland) at Playwrights Horizons on March 10.

Seattle Rep to Take on Violence in America in BROWNSVILLE SONG (B-SIDE FOR TRAY)

Seattle Repertory Theatre presents Kimber Lee's heart-felt drama, BROWNSVILLE SONG (B-SIDE FOR TRAY), a vivid and stirring play that leaves one family at a powerful crossroads in search of hope. Directed by Juliette Carrillo (Seattle Rep's The Brothers Size), BROWNSVILLE SONG (B-SIDE FOR TRAY) runs March 25-April 24, 2016 in the Leo K. Theatre.

Phoenix Theatre to Present ON CLOVER ROAD Rolling World Premiere

Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis announces the National New Play Networking Rolling World Premiere of On Clover Road opening March 10, 2016 on the Frank and Katrina Basile Stage. This production runs through April 10, with Courtney Sale serving as director.

ArtsWest's AFTER HOURS WITH MATTHEW WRIGHT Returns in March

ArtsWest is pleased to announce the return of After Hours with Mathew Wright, now in its third iteration after this past December's Holiday Edition. Hosted by Artistic Director Mathew Wright, these one-night only events feature five of Seattle's (and Broadway's) brightest stars: Matt Owen (3/7), Frederick Hagreen (3/14), Eric Ankrim (3/21), and Justin Huertas and Kirsten DeLohr Helland (3/28). Mike Bartlett's KING CHARLES III Set for Seattle Rep's 2016-17 Season

Seattle Repertory Theatre reveals a first look at its 2016-2017 season, which will include the dazzling and emotionally gripping drama KING CHARLES III by Mike Bartlett. Produced in association with American Conservatory Theater and Shakespeare Theatre Company and directed by David Muse, Seattle Rep will present this award-winning smash hit in the Bagley Wright Theatre. The Rep's full 2016-2017 season will be announced in April.

American Conservatory Theater Announces Portion of 2016-17 Season

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Artistic Director Carey Perloff announced today four of the seven productions that will comprise the lineup of the company's 50th subscription season, which will open in September 2016 with the 2015 Olivier Award-winning Best New Play, King Charles III, a coproduction with Seattle Repertory Theatre and Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC; the world-premiere theatrical adaptation of Khaled Hosseini's (The Kite Runner) best-selling novel A Thousand Splendid Suns, featuring a live score by acclaimed musician David Coulter; the acclaimed new play, John, by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Annie Baker; and Battlefield, Peter Brook and Marie-Helene Estienne's intimate new interpretation and staging of Brook's groundbreaking production of The Mahabharata. The additional three productions-along with performances order and run dates-will be announced at a later date.

THE SECRET GARDEN, MACBETH & More Set for Shakespeare Theatre Company's 2016–17 Season

Following the successes of the first half of this season-from the multiple Helen Hayes Award nominations for Salome and Kiss Me, Kate, to the critical acclaim of The Critic and The Real Inspector Hound-Artistic Director Michael Kahn announced today the Shakespeare Theatre Company's 2016-2017 season. Kahn has put together a season of new debuts of both artists and works, and one with innovative adaptations and classic tragedies that continue STC's mission to re-think, re-work, and re-introduce classic texts and themes to its contemporary D.C. audiences.
