MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET to Become Chicago's Longest-Running Broadway Musical, Today

Million Dollar Quartet announces that this Saturday, May 26, 2013 marks the official date at which it becomes the longest-running musical production in Chicago's history. With 1,949 performances and 5 smash years in Chicago, the Tony Award-winning rock 'n' roll musical has surpassed both Wicked and Pumpboys and Dinettes, setting a new record for the longest running Broadway musical in Chicago.

New Haarlem Arts Theatre Presents 'Latina's Tale' SWEET CHARITY, 7/26-8/19

The Latino spirit is alive in New Harlem Arts Theatre's upcoming production of 'Sweet Charity,' directed by Julio Agustin, to be presented July 26 to August 19 at CCNY's Aaron Davis Hall, 135th Street and Convent Ave. The characters of the classic sixties musical will be re-envisioned to reflect the changing roles of Latinos in our society while the traditional music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon will be preserved. The 1966 Broadway tuner was originally conceived, staged and choreographed by Bob Fosse. Director Julio Agustin has tapped choreographer Lainie Munro for the job of nestling his radical new concept into Fosse's formative jazz dances.

Baayork Lee Directs A CHORUS LINE at Pittsburgh CLO, Now thru 6/24

A Chorus Line, the powerful and emotion-filled musical about the trials and tribulations of forging a life in the theater, will play in Pittsburgh tonight, June 15 through June 24 at the Benedum Center. Directed and choreographed by original A Chorus Line cast member Baayork Lee, this bona fide Broadway hit features an incredible ensemble cast composed of exciting Broadway stars and Pittsburgh CLO veterans.

David Abeles, Victoria Matlock, & More to Lead MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET at New World Stages; Full Cast Announced

The producers of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET are thrilled to announce that original cast members Eddie Clendening (Elvis Presley), Lance Guest (Johnny Cash), and Robert Britton Lyons (Carl Perkins) will be joining the cast of the hit musical when it resumes performances at its new home at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) on Thursday, July 28. They will be joined by MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET alums David Abeles (Jerry Lee Lewis), Victoria Matlock (Dyanne), and James Moye (Sam Phillips).

Chicago's MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET Celebrates 1,000 Performances

On Friday, Friday 18, 2011, Million Dollar Quartet will celebrate its 1000th performance in Chicago by putting a new block of tickets on sale for performances through September 25, 2011. The Tony-nominated musical inspired by the famed 1956 recording session that brought together legendary rock ‘n' roll icons Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley, celebrates its long run in Chicago, a successful, multiple Tony-nominated Broadway run and a London production, opening February 28.
