Broadway in South Africa will be the featured entertainment for tonight's opening dinner for the US Fund for UNICEF's 2009 Annual Meeting entitled 'Believe in Zero.' CNN's Anderson Cooper, of Anderson Cooper 360, is the guest speaker. The event takes place tonight, Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 6:30 p.m at the Altman Building, 135 West 18th Street.

Hair won the 2009 Tony Award for 'Best Revival of a Musical' and the 'The Tribe' had a post Tony ceremony 'LOVE IN' at the Tavern on the Green. BroadwayWorld was there to rub elbows and 'let the sun shine in' with the cast and crew of the big Broadway hit!

On Monday evening, February 23 at 8:00pm, the Broadway community (and beyond) came together for one of the most important events of the year - Defying Inequality: The Broadway Concert -- A Celebrity Benefit for Equal Rights, a one-night only concert event at the Gershwin Theatre (222 W. 51st Street). Broadway in South Africa (BSA) is a new, not-for-profit organization that works to provide the average child from underadvantaged South African communities, with little or no access to a formal arts education, the tools of self-awareness and self-empowerment through art, so that they may begin to discover a future beyond disease and poverty. Ultimately, BSA?s ongoing work is designed to have lasting effects in the lives of these children, as opposed to single, disjointed efforts.

On Friday, October 10th, THE AFTER PARTY hosts the fifth annual Brandon and Ray's Birthday Bash. This annual event celebrates the birthdays of The After Party's own Brandon Cutrell and Ray Fellman. Now going strong its third year, THE AFTER PARTY is billed as 'a weekly schmoozefest for the theatrically inclined.'

'Peep Show' with Jibson, Kantor, Snow, Lee and Bradford to take place April, 28th at the Knitting Factory to benefit the ESE's Young Writer's Forum.

Empty Space Ensemble Presents…Peep Show: Live from The Knitting Factory, a one night only rock concert in honor of spring, Monday April 28th.

'Empty Space Ensemble' invades The Knitting Factory for a one night only fundraising event complete with drinking, dancing, and live music on Monday February 11th. Cast members from Wicked, Cry Baby, Gypsy, The Lion King, and more will be screaming out love songs all night in honor of Valentine's Day. Greg Brown, who music directs the evening, will lead the band in a diverse set list that ranges from Whitesnake to Whitney Houston in the Tap Room, which also features over 18 beers on tap.

The Duplex Cabaret Theatre plays host tonight to 'Hit....or Miscast,' an evening of 'untyped freedom'. Produced by Empty Space Ensemble, the one night only concert will feature a re-imagining of songs spanning the musical theatre gamut.
