The Flat Rock Playhouse 2016 season will continue with Tony award-winning musical The Music Man, which will run from June 16th through July 9th at the Clyde & Nina Allen Mainstage in the village of Flat Rock.

Flat Rock Playhouse will continue its 2016 season with The Affections of May, running May 26th through June 4th on the mainstage in Flat Rock. Norm Foster's most widely produced romantic comedy, The Affections of May is a heartwarming play which centers on May Henning, the owner of a bed and breakfast in a small resort town. When her husband leaves her, she amusingly and adorably finds herself quite the center of attention and entangled in a hilarious romantic triangle.

Flat Rock Playhouse is kicking off its 2016 mainstage season with the international hit musical Million Dollar Quartet - the story of four pioneers of rock 'n' roll and how they came together for one night in what is undoubtedly the most electrifying jam session in all of music history.

Flat Rock Playhouse and Studio 52 will present a new musical version of Roald Dahl's JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH, Jr. from March 11 through 20 at the Playhouse Downtown. Written in 1961, JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH was the first novel Dahl penned for children before going on to author Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and many others including the film adaptation of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Curtain up! Light the lights! Flat Rock Playhouse announced today plans for the second annual Theatre with the Stars! Due to the overwhelming success of the 2015 fundraiser, the State Theatre of North Carolina has decided to make this exciting afternoon of song, dance and theatre an annual event, whereby eight local "stars" will partner with Flat Rock Playhouse "pros" and compete with the hopes of raising the most votes to win the title as well as $1000 for their selected non-profit of choice.
