In anticipation for letting the 'sun shine in' on Broadway, the sexy cast of HAIR let it all hang out for the newest issue of Time Out New York magazine, the talented crew let the flesh fly.

Situation Interactive announced the launch of its HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical web initiative in support of the Broadway musical. The online experience utilizes all that's exciting and fun about web 2.0 technology (something we here BroadwayWorld.com know an awful lot about!), allowing Broadway fans intimate access to the show's cast, video streams, blogging and the ability to become part of the ?tribe' (an online community for polling and sharing).

The producers of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical have established a pre-performance ticket lottery for box-seat tickets, aptly renamed 'BE-IN BOXES.' Those wishing to purchase these tickets are asked to show up at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre 2 1/2 hours before each performance for a drawing that will take place 2 hours before curtain. For every performance (beginning Friday), a limited number of lucky audience members will receive $25 'be-in box' tickets, promising to make their experience of the show both affordable and unique.

Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater, has announced the 26-member Broadway cast of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. Newcomers to the cast include Gavin Creel, Caissie Levy and Sasha Allen, who join the rest of the tribe, who are reprising their roles from Central Park last summer. Composer and lyricist Scott Alan returned to Birdland on January 12th for a concert featuring a starry line-up of Broadway performers. The January 12th performance featured selections from Alan's debut CD, 'Dreaming Wide Awake' and his recently released CD 'Keys.'

Broadway Sessions w/ Ben D is thrilled to welcome singing actress Saycon Sengbloh Decmeber 9th. Saycon has appeared on Broadway in The Color Purple (as both Nettie and Celie), Wicked (Elphaba standby) and Aida (Aida standby). Saycon has also toured the country as Mimi in Rent and will appear on Broadway in the upcoming Public Theater transfer of Hair. Saycon has recorded an independent solo record titled 'Southern Pin-Up'.

Producers for the Broadway bound revival of Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical have announced that the show will now begin previews at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre beginning February 10 (three days earlier than previously scheduled), with an opening set for March 5.

The New York Times is reporting that HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical which played this summer to sold out houses at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park will play Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theater (currently home to A TALE OF TWO CITIES). Previews begin on February 13, 2009 with the official opening set for March 5, 2009.
