Delaware's REP Presents A FLEA IN HER EAR in Co-production With Westport Country Playhouse

A perfumed letter, a seedy hotel and a pack of wacky characters bring 1907 Paris to Delaware in the Resident Ensemble Players (REP) production A Flea in Her Ear, a new version of Georges Feydeau's farce, written by David Ives, Mar. 1 through Mar. 18, in the Roselle Center for the Arts, Newark, DE. Internationally renowned director, Mark Lamos, returns to the REP to stage the bawdy bedroom comedy.

General Director Plácido Domingo announced complete casting details for LA Opera's upcoming presentation of Richard Strauss's Salome, to be conducted by Music Director James Conlon. A revival of the production originally staged by Sir Peter Hall during the company's inaugural season, Salome will star soprano Patricia Racette in the title role, her fifth leading role in Los Angeles. Performances will take place at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (135 North Grand Avenue, Los Angeles CA 90012) from February 18 through March 19.

Al Roker and wife Deborah Roberts came to a preview of the powerful new play, American Son at the Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield Ma. last night. The play is written by Christopher Demos-Brown and is directed by BSC founder/artistic director Julianne Boyd. It stars Tamara Tunie and Michael Hayden with Luke Smith and Andre' Ware. The world premiere of American Son will take place on June 22 on the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage of Barrington Stage Co. It runs through July 9, 2016

Playwright John Guare recently met with the Press to discuss the Barrington Stage Company production of his adaptation of the classic American comedy HIS GIRL FRIDAY. Julianne Boyd, the artistic director of BSC will also be directing the production which will be on Barrington Stage's Boyd-Quinson Mainstage from Aug 6-30. Opening night is Wednesday, Aug 12. Director Julianne Boyd and actors Christopher Innvar and Jane Pfitsch joined Mr. Guare for the Press Conference in which they all took questions.
