What do we get if we twist Shakespeare a little? What if we add popular songs, current themes and fill it with love?

Anthony Ramos, who originated the roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton, will play Usnavi in the Broadway Center Stage production of In the Heights at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Joshua Grosso, previously announced in the role, has withdrawn from the musical due to a minor foot injury. Presented as a part of the inaugural season of Broadway Center Stage, a Kennedy Center-produced series of musicals in semi-staged concerts, In the Heights will run March 21-25, 2018 in the Eisenhower Theater.

The Bronx Academy of Arts & Dance forges forward with the 17th annual BAAD!ASS WOMEN FESTIVAL, celebrating the empowerment of women through art, culture and performance. Outfest, the Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing, showcasing, and protecting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media, today announced its lineup for the 2018 OutfestFusion LGBTQ People of Color Film Festival. Outfest Fusion, the only multicultural LGBT film festival of its kind, will be held March 9-13 at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood and various locations throughout Los Angeles.

Wanting to work on his vocal technique before singing at the memorial service of his beloved mother, Ray (Ramon) enlists the help of strict singing teacher Emily (Amelia). During an explosive evening of confessions it becomes clear that they are united by more than just music, as both struggle to deal with the aftermath of a terrorist attack in their own ways.

Nickelodeon announced today the development of Los Casagrandes (working title), a companion series to the animated hit THE LOUD HOUSE that will follow Lincoln Loud's friend Ronnie Anne and her extended family, the Casagrandes, who live together in the big city. Nickelodeon has also greenlit a fourth season (26 episodes) of The Loud House, which will include a six-episode story arc featuring the Casagrandes. Since its launch in 2016, THE LOUD HOUSE has remained one of Nickelodeon's top-rated shows and is currently the number-one series across television with Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11 year to date.

The Theater Bug is proud to present William Shakespeare's 'Love's Labour's Lost', directed by Santiago Sosa of The Nashville Shakespeare Festival. This production will run March 22-25, 2018, Thurs-Sat at 7pm and Sun at 6pm.

A chance meeting in an airport lounge leads to a Burmese odyssey and a search for a missing monk… and maybe love. Maria Gobetti directs the world premiere of Unemployed Elephants - A Love Story, a romantic comedy by Wendy Graf (No Word in Guyanese for Me, Please Don't Ask About Beckett). Performances begin on March 9 at The Victory Theatre Center in Burbank, where they continue through April 15. Three low-priced previews take place on March 1, 2 and 3.

Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) and Teatro Publico de Cleveland (TPC) present the regional premiere of En el Tiempo de las Mariposas, a play by Caridad Svich based on the novel by Julia Alvarez. The production is directed by Julia Rosa Sosa and will be performed in Spanish, with English subtitles, by TPC ensemble members and will run February 22 - March 10, 2018, in CPT's historic Gordon Square Theatre.

The next city on Gustavo Dudamel's “Americas” tour with the Vienna Philharmonic is Mexico City at the Pallacio de Bellas Artes on March 2-3, 2018. The “Americas” tour began at Carnegie Hall in New York and will visit Buenos Aires, Bogota, and Santiago de Chile. The tour symbolizes the culture of unity between North, Central, and South America at a time of division, and the power of music to inspire young people.

First Run Features is proud to announce the U.S theatrical premiere of Strangers on the Earth, directed by Tristan Cook. The film opens at New York's Cinema Village on  May 4, 2018, with a Los Angeles premiere to follow at Laemmle's Music Hall beginning June 1, 2018.

5-STAR THEATRICALS (formerly Cabrillo Music Theatre) continues its 2017-2018 season with the Thousand Oaks premiere of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, book by Peter Parnell (based on the Victor Hugo Novel and songs from the Disney film), musical direction by Dan Redfeld, choreography by Michelle Elkin and directed by Misti B. Wills. THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME opens on Friday, April 20, 2017 and runs through Sunday, April 29, 2018at the 1,800-seat Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces a change in programming in its current season. The theater will present Songbird, written by Michael Kimmel (The Last Goodbye) with music and lyrics by Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening), directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch (The Last Match, Animal), from June 9-July 1. Songbird will be presented by special arrangement with Allison Bressi and Diana Buckhantz.

Nina June will release her global debut album 'Bon Voyage' on March 23rd. The record is the result of a 3 year long journey that began in a home studio in Amsterdam and went through France and Spain on a pilgrimage and ended in London with world class producer Tim Bran.
