The Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts has announced its 2013-14 schedule. Check out highlights below!

'Possibility Junkie' is a new musical theater work by David Ippolito (music, lyrics, book) and directed by Gretchen Cryer ('I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It On the Road'), who co-authored the book. The story is based loosely on the career of David Ippolito, who is known to hundreds of thousands of people across the country and around the world as 'That Guitar Man from Central Park.' Part singer/songwriter, part storyteller, part social-commentator and humorist, Ippolito has become famous for his simple catch phrase, 'It's just us,' and his ability to turn a large crowd of strangers into a group of friends. Theater for the New City will present the world premiere tonight, September 28 to October 20, 2013.

The name has changed, but the mission remains the same: entertaining, educating and illuminating. As always, Park City Institute (formerly known as Park City Performing Arts Foundation) serves up a smorgasbord of eclectic, electrifying, awe-inspiring and internationally acclaimed dancers, musicians, family entertainers, speakers, actors and full throttle performance troupes. Park City Institute presents its 17th season at The George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Center for the Performing Arts from October through May. Tickets and season punch cards are currently on sale.

Every year, Stoneham Theatre seeks out stories and shows that will entertain, amuse, and surprise audiences. 'We pride ourselves on our variety,' Producing Artistic Director Weylin Symes shared. 'And this season is no different, with new and familiar titles and hopefully something a little unexpected.' Stoneham Theatre's Season 14 boasts a hip new comedy direct from Broadway, a fresh take on a classic horror story, a holiday favorite, a silly, murder mystery musical, a Tony Award-winning musical, and one show yet to be announced. 'We are very excited to present our 14th season of professional theatre right here in Metro North and pleased to share this new slate of shows with the public,' Managing Director Debra Rafson added.

Betty R. and Ralph Sheffer Foundation and The League of Professional Theatre Women will present Award-winning actress TYNE DALY for the next Oral History interview on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 6:00 pm at the Bruno Walter Auditorium of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts on 65th Street & Amsterdam Avenue. Hartford Stage announces the schedule for Fall Studio youth performance classes for 2013 including Anansi and the Moss-Covered Rock, The Environmental Show, and The One and Only Santa Claus. These classes are all taught my Hartford Stage's professional teaching artists, culminate in a final performance, and all classes take place at Classical Magnet School, 85 Woodland Street in Hartford.

Roundabout Theatre Company has officially announced that Oscar nominee Michelle Williams will star for the first time on Broadway as 'Sally Bowles' in its upcoming production of Cabaret. She will take the stage at Studio 54 alongside Alan Cumming as the Emcee, reprising the role that won him a Tony Award in 1998.

From now to August 13, 2014, the Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri, will host a range of different events, from CURIOUS GEORGE to the KANSAS CITY IRISH REP.

The Brave New Workshop Theatre (BNW) is pleased to announce the title of its 2013 holiday-themed comedy revue: 'I Saw Daddy Marry Santa Claus.' Previews for this, the BNW's 282nd production, will be November 7-14, and opening night will be Friday, November 15. 'I Saw Daddy Marry Santa Claus' runs through January 25, 2014. All performances are at the Brave New Workshop Theatre main stage at 824 Hennepin Avenue, Downtown Minneapolis.

Moonlight Stage Productions' 33rd summer season continues with the Broadway hit YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, presented professionally for the first time in Southern California, with performances now through September 7. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, based on the hilarious 1974 film by Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder that spoofed the horror film genre, opened on Broadway in 2007 and toured the U.S. in 2009. The Chicago Festival Association, producer of Chicago's Thanksgiving celebration, is now recruiting volunteers to assist during the 80th McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade, which marches up State Street from Congress to Randolph Thursday, November 28, 2013, 8 - 11 am(CST).
