Closing SRT's 2017 Season is a contemporary musical about cynicism, belief, and the real meaning of Christmas. Another Night Before Christmas, plays December 1-23, 2017, at the East Sonora Theatre. Called 'roaringly funny, 'thoughtful', and 'perfect for a night out before Christmas', this show has a book and lyrics by Sean Grennan and music by Leah Okimoto. Grennan began writing for theatre as co-librettist (with his wife, Kathy Santen) for the musical Phantom of the Country Palace. Working as librettist and lyricist with composer Leah Okimoto, their work includes the musicals Married Alive!, A Dog's Life, and Another Night Before Christmas, all of which premiered at the American Heartland Theatre led by director Paul Hough.

Now in a rare production of the adapted movie script by Philip Grecian, A Christmas Story is live onstage with a bevy of kids, 14 in fact, and a whole lot of quaint antics, meticulously directed by artistic director Christian Lebano, at SMP through December 31.

2017 marks the historic 86th Anniversary of the Hollywood Christmas Parade, an American tradition. The parade is produced by Associated Television International and presented in association with The City of Los Angeles. The annual live parade is held in the streets of Hollywood attracting more than one million people. During the Red Carpet Arrivals Event at this year's live parade on Sunday, November 26th Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell will present this year's Parade Grand Marshal Dr. Oz with a Certificate of Recognition from The City of Los Angeles for his career accomplishments.

Theatreworks USA, the distinguished family-theater company, brings the musical 'Twas the Night Before Christmas to Upper Darby Performing Arts Center on December 1 at 7pm. The sixty-minute performance is ideal for children ages 4 years old and up.

The 2017 Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes celebrated the beginning of the holiday season last night, November 16. Opening night honored the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a non-profit organization that works with The Madison Square Garden Company and MSG Networks Inc. to make dreams come true for children facing obstacles. The festivities kicked off onstage with a special performance by one of the 2017 Garden of Dreams Talent Show performers before the official opening night performance of the 2017 Christmas Spectacular season. Tom Fletcher today releases a stunning music video to accompany the groundbreaking release of The Musical Edition of his hit novel 'The Christmasaurus'. 'Afraid Of Heights' is one of 14 new songs taken from the cd 'The Christmasaurus'. The video is based on the true story of teenager Lily Rice, who is the first European female to perform a backflip in a wheelchair. Lily accomplished the feat in Cardiff after 6 hours of practicing.
