Victory Gardens closes its 2009/10 Season with the world premiere of Ensemble Playwright Joel Drake Johnson's A Guide for the Perplexed, marking the Chicago return of award-winning Broadway actor Kevin Anderson.

The time is now. The setting is a downtown Chicago theater, where Jack Shore, a popular TV personality, is appearing one night only in a tribute to his grandfather, Jacob Shemerinsky, great star of the Yiddish Theater.

Victory Gardens Theater Artistic Director Dennis Zacek and Executive Director Jan Kallish proudly announce that Kristoffer Diaz's The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity, currently in previews at New York's Second Stage Theatre, opens on Thursday, May 20; the smash hit production is slated to run though June 20, 2010. Second Stage Theatre will simultaneously produce Michael Golamco's Year Zero, May 18-June 13, 2010.

MONSTER is a revelatory theatrical experience which peels back the layers of humanity to reveal what's at the core of human experience. The multi-character format intertwines 16 diverse characters surrounding a vengeful, blood-curdling, torturous murder. MONSTER shatters the 4th wall, engages the audience and ultimately demands they confront their fundamental beliefs.
