George Street Playhouse today announced the cast of Rob Urbinati's Mama's Boy, which runs October 18 through November 6 at the New Brunswick theatre. Betsy Aidem (Broadway's All the Way, GSP's God of Carnage) stars as Marguerite Oswald, the headstrong mother of Lee Harvey Oswald, played by Michael Goldsmith (TV's Doctor Who, Gotham).

Nancy will take the audience on a musical journey, returning to those heady days of her Broadway life. On and Off-Broadway, this high-energy, whimsical back story, directed by Alex Timbers and the late Roger Rees, took riotous, magical flight. At the Lyric, Peter barely gets off the ground.

Opera North has announced the principal roles for Tosca, one of its three 2016 mainstage productions. Soprano Sandra Lopez will play the title role of Tosca, while baritones Jeff Gwaltney and Aleksey Bogdanov will play Cavaradossi and Scarpia, respectively. All three are Opera North alumni and have extensive international experience.

Broadway and television star Sandy Duncan will play Miss Daisy in a one-night-only reading of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Driving Miss Daisy by Alfred Uhry, George Street Playhouse announced today.   The reading, part of the GSP Celebrity Event Series, will take place on Monday, March 21, at 8 p.m. at the New Brunswick theatre.
