COMEDY CENTRAL presents the 'BEST BETS' for week of March 3:

Tonight at the Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, AOL, PBS and Simple facial skincare will host a red-carpet premiere for 'MAKERS: Women Who Make America,' the PBS documentary film which serves as the broadcast extension to MAKERS, a first-of-its-kind multiplatform video initiative that aims to become the largest collection of women's stories ever assembled. The event will bring together more than 56 notable MAKERS women, including Katie Couric, Gloria Steinem and Martha Stewart, as well as VIPs Allison Williams, Kelly Rutherford and Kyra Sedgwick, AOL CEO Tim Armstrong, PBS President and CEO Paula Kerger, WETA President and CEO Sharon Percy Rockefeller and Unilever North America EVP of Personal Care, Gina Boswell who will gather to celebrate over a half century of women's achievements. The three-hour PBS documentary airs on Tuesday, February 26 at 8PM ET on PBS (check your local listings).

The Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre honored esteemed stage actress Patti LuPone with the company's third Stephen Sondheim Award on April 16, 2012. The award, established in 2009 in honor of America's most influential contemporary musical theater writer and composer, was presented at a black-tie Gala Benefit at the Embassy of Italy in Washington, DC. The Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the Brooklyn Museum is celebrating its fifth anniversary by honoring fifteen contemporary women with the Sackler Center First Awards. Each of the recipients has broken a gender barrier to make a remarkable achievement and contribution in her respective field. The awards ceremony will take place in the Iris and B.
